By now, you must already know that major search engines rank your website based on the quantity and quality of links that are pointing to your site. Here are the 5 best ways to advance in link popularity:

1. Blog about your website and give it an inbound link. Remember, the more blogs linked to your website, the more valuable it gets in terms of search engine algorithms. So, create a highly relevant blog that will interest the target market and link it to your own website.

2. Utilize text link ads. These are ads that are very similar to newspaper ads minus the graphics. They appear as headline ads that take visitors to your site when they are clicked.

3. Exchange links with sites that share your topics. Using your favorite search engines, scour the internet for relevant blogs and websites and exchange links with them. For best result, prioritized those that are highly ranked by Yahoo! MSN, and Google.

4. Join relevant forums. If your website is all about Forex, search the web for forex forums. Join at least 2-3 forums and interact with other members. Build your credibility in your field by posting intelligent, interesting comments and suggestions. Do not forget to include your website's URL to your profile and at the end of your posts.

5. Utilize article marketing. Perhaps, this is the best and cost-effective means to generate more links to your site. To start off, write relevant, quality articles that talks about your website or the products you are selling. And then, submit these to major ezine and article submission sites. Do not forget to include your website's URL on your resource box. You can also use anchor text on the body of your article when allowed.
