Article Marketing Basics - Marketing Your Articles

One of the great things about the Internet is that all of a sudden, you can find an expert on just about anything, no matter how obscure. As a result of this, people are looking for experts in order to write articles. It has even hit the point that experts now need to know how to market themselves

There are some basic techniques anyone can use. The first is to have a blog or site where you write about what it is that you are an expert in. Not only do you show that you are an expert, but that you can write. This should be considered a vital first step. And take advantage of your professional contacts; if you are someone who truly is considered an expert in your field, then others will try to get you write about your background, and that can help get jobs as well.

You also need to find a site that is looking for your expertise. Then can involve an intensive web search, but you need to look for somewhere to write in order to get paid for writing. It may take a while, but you should find the site eventually. You should also be aware that it can be the most annoying step; even if you are the biggest expert in your field, you may have a problem establishing a reputation in at the respective site (after all, you are new to the site, and so have a lack of reputation to deal with).

Don't forget to keep studying; you need to take writing classes, as well as keep abreast of your field. If you can get better at writing, it will definitely help your odds of being able to write about your topic; too many people forget that you need to be an expert in not just your field, but need to be able to write about it as well.

Article Marketing Online - The Basics Of Article Marketing

The thought of writing articles for some is not a pleasant one, people believe article writing is too hard and never even give themselves a chance. That's the worst thing you can do. I know because it held me back for a long time. When I finally summoned up the courage to start thinking positively about writing articles, it was not as hard as I was making it out to be.

I am assuming if you have read this much of this article, you want to write articles as a way to market your business online. Let me tell you that it is one of the best ways to market online from my testing and experience. In order to make your article marketing easier, there is one important asset you should already have or want to have.

That is a good knowledge of the subject matter you will be writing about. Once this is in place, article marketing will become a breeze. Article marketing is nothing more than you talking to someone about a topic or subject, that's all there is to it. That's the reason it is so important for you to have a good background of your topic or subject matter.

Now that we have that out of the way, the next thing we want to do is research. Research other authors in your field and see how they are writing their articles? What are they talking about? Keep in mind you will be submitting your articles to directories online so you want to visit these directories prior to writing your first article.

Internet Marketing Articles - Warning! The Internet May Cause Attention Deficit Disorder

Focus, focus, focus, the Internet seems to have plenty of distraction. Here something that I have learned through experience, but it has cost me. This little tip can bring a big boost to your future.

I love article marketing. One of the things that I love the most about it is that it is one of the most reliable methods of Internet marketing that continues to prove itself over and over again. I don't think there is a better way to spend your time marketing than to be generating new articles. More articles equal more traffic. Not just more traffic, but traffic that is more highly qualified than any other method.

I received an email today from one of the many lists that I subscribe to that describes the new viral way of driving traffic to your website. It starts out, "Dear Friend, Are you interested in a brand new way to increase the traffic to any website for about 5 minutes easy 'work'?" First of all, it takes more than 5 minutes to read the sales letter which is 10 pages and a video long.

I have tried hundreds of these. I am not necessarily pointing a finger at this one, but the bottom line is, if I had spent every second wasted on the hundreds of these I have read, writing articles, I would be retired by now.

I once thought that subscribing to everything was a good thing, because it has taught me so much about all of the different options available on the Internet. Now I am rethinking this because in retrospect, I think it has continued to be more of a distraction than anything.

Strategies To Reduce Your Monthly Bills

Monthly bills have you dazed and confused? This site can help save your sanity and some of your hard earned money. From credit card debt, insurance premiums, mortgage refinance and home equity loans, and transportation costs. Explains how to reduce credit card debt and where to turn in case you are over your head. If your are in serious credit card debt and are late on payments and have creditors calling, there is help available. Credit Counseling Center of America is a non profit organization that helps people reduce or eliminate unsecured debt, personal loans, and medical bills. CCCA does not loan money, the simply consolidate your loans and negotiate lower interest rates with your creditors.

Your participation in CCCA will help restore your credit rating by:

*Bringing past due accounts up to date

*Stopping creditor harassment

*Keeping payments current

*Settlement of seriously overdue and delinquent accounts

*Over-the-limit and late fees are absorbed

Another way to reduce interest charges is to take out a Home Equity loan on your house. Home Equity loans have a much lower APR thus reducing your payment. You can lengthen the term to 10 or 15 years so so you will have a very small payment. If you do this, do not charge the credit cards back up to MAX. You may also opt to take out a debt consolidation loan from your bank if you dont own a house.

Be careful of credit repair scams and credit "doctors" that claim to "repair your credit" for a fee. No one can repair credit. Negative information such as charge-offs, late pay, slow pay, abandonment and no pays can (and will) stay on your credit report for 7 years. There is no person or company that can remove this information from your credit report, except for the lenders who filed the derogatory information. A credit report cannot be changed or altered, however, bringing your accounts up to date restores your credit. You are the only person who can restore your credit, and there is never a fee for restoring your own credit.

If you budget accordingly and can make the payments or your own, or if your choose to go with a non-profit debt consolidator, be sure that you never again allow yourself to become a slave to your debts! Always pay by cash or check. If you must make a credit card purchase, write a check for the amount and send it to the credit card company the same day.

Article Marketing - How To Write Conclusions And Resource Boxes That Pull In Clicks Like Crazy

Here's your chance to discover how to write hypnotizing conclusions and resource boxes for your articles that increase your clickthrough rates through the roof. In this article, we are going to look at these two important components of an Internet article and how to fully utilize them for maximum effectiveness.

Your conclusion can be comprised of one of two things: a summary of your article, or some additional insight that will end your article with a bang, so to speak. Your summary can simply be just a few sentences stating the important points of your main copy and what the reader should do next. Always provide a call-to-action at the end of your article by telling him to take action on the points you have discussed or by clicking through to your website to find out more. You should always get your reader to take action on the techniques discussed in your article. Otherwise the article is no good for anyone.

For your resource box, you want to do the same thing - get your readers to take action. Usually, this means clicking through to your website. You won't get many clickthroughs simply giving them a link to click on at the end of the article. You must get your readers to act by writing a compelling call-to-action.

For example, in the golf niche, I might write:

"Discover How A Golfing Newbie Embarrassed Experienced Pros In The Space Of A Year Using These Covert Golf Techniques!" Click Here To Receive Your Free Report In Your Email Inbox

You must write something out of the ordinary to get the interest and attention of your readers. However, don't lie about stuff. Keep it honest yet interesting and many people will click through to your link to see your offer.

Search Engine Optimization - Let's Take A Look At Some Basics

When people finally make the decision to have a go at e-commerce most of them think only of a great website and products. But I'll be the first to tell you that this is a very small consideration when it comes to being successful online. We know that the income generated from e-commerce can be very substantial. This is why more people are turning to the Internet to not only supplement their income but also to replace it.

Success Online

Being successful online is not just a matter of consistent work, it also requires planning and a proper strategy. A very effective way of success online is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This simply means constantly improving your Website ranking in search engine listings. This will keep a constant flow of new traffic to your website.

Search Engines And How They Work

A search engine is a Website that is setup to allow users to enter a keyword or phase and in return it gives results for the user that are relevant to their keywords. Obvious examples of this would be Google and Yahoo.

Search Engines use programs called Spiders or Robots that crawl through the indexed sites to return the most high ranking site in that index based on the keywords that were selected.

Most products or services are searched through these engines and this is why its important to have a high ranking. You want to be listed somewhere on the first or second page for the chosen keyword.

Search Engine Optimization For Your Website

The keyword information that these users/customers are searching with can be placed on your webpage to get consideration and high rank in search engines.

Tips For SEO

Certain e-commerce applications are designed for automatic SEO. An example would be ProStores. Avoid the use of frames that divide into separately controlled windows. Frames and search engines don't work well together. Include lots of text. The more relevant text you have the higher your ranking.

Choose the right keywords. See my article What To Consider Before Paying Per Click This will give you information on keywords and how to properly select them.

Keep updating your site. Search engines look for fresh content. If your site is constantly updated you will get and keep a higher ranking than others sites that are not updated regularly.

From this you can see that it's about more than just your product and a pretty website. What needs as much attention is what your site says and how the search engines view your material. Happy Optimizing.

Article Marketing - 5 Essential Steps For Success

Affiliate Marketing training would not be complete without explaining the HUGE upside to Article Marketing. Once implemented, these content specific articles will keep generating traffic literally for years after initial publish.

The internet marketer uses articles to direct traffic to a website or blog where he has a product or information. An article is NOT a sales page ... as such, it WILL BE rejected by the article directories. :-(

In considering utilizing article marketing, there are 5 specific steps required in order to gain benefit from the article.

1. Carefully choose a product or information that is the ultimate focus of your article.

2. Develop quality information regarding your subject. Your goal is to provide enough information for the reader to see the value, but you DON'T want to provide all the answers ... pique their curiosity to learn more.

3. Provide examples, tips, or tutorials to demonstrate how the subject will be beneficial.

4. Expand your points to paint a picture of the process. Be careful to keep your text informative without bordering on a 'sit-down' classroom session.

5. 'Shine your Apple' before submitting. Perform a complete review and edit as necessary.

It is ALWAYS advisable to save your article and walk away for awhile. We all have a tendency to write what we want to hear. Return to your draft and put your "subjective" face on. Get 'out of yourself', apply the basic steps, and see if your draft meets the criteria for the average viewer. Did you clearly define a problem and provide a practical answer or solution?

Does your article 'read' like a sales page? Generally, avoiding the use of first tense ("I") will help to generalize your points. Remember, you are NOT selling anything ... you ARE generating interest in your chosen topic. Keep in mind that your goal is not to appeal to everyone. Make sure that you have identified your target audience, and have provided enough information to grab their attention. Have you clearly defined the problem? Have you suggested a course of action that may offer a solution? Is your information unique, or can it be found in any number of throw away ebooks? The last thing that you want is for the viewer to go "yeh, yeh, yeh ... same old stuff".

Before you submit your article, make sure that you review your landing page destination from the Resource box. Are all of the links active? Are the keywords compatible? Is the subject of your landing site an expansion of the theme of the article? Do you add additional value?

Article marketing is a VERY effective tool for building your affiliate marketing business. Seek out sources of information that will help you fine tune your various article marketing campaigns ... Research is NOT a dirty word! :-)

Is Being Number 1 In Google All It's Cracked Up To Be?

Anyone who has ever even heard the phrase 'search engine optimisation' will have experienced, largely through countless spam emails, adverts promising you the number 1 spot on 10 major search engines (we're not even convinced there are 10 major search engines) within a month or two. It's nonsense, and the scam here is that you're often top for search terms that no one will ever search for, but I digress: The adverts indicate that the desirable number 1 spot in Google is all important for your online marketing, but is that really true?

Now before you scoff and disregard this article I must stress that ranking well for strategically chosen and targeted keywords is all important. It's just that 'well' doesn't always translate as being 'number 1'. Statistically speaking, minimal numbers ever click past the third screen of results (although they don't always go from Page 1 to 2 to 3 - many people look at, for example Page1 then 4, then 9) before retreating to refine their keywords if they don't find what they're looking for on their first go. In fact, most people don't even click the second page, so a top 10 ranking is definitely desirable.

That said there are definitely things that you should consider before you spend valuable time and resources hunting that number 1 slot:

A site lower down the results page can outperform a site higher up.

It's something of a myth that says a site's traffic numbers from search engines is purely a result of its position. The assumption is that the higher you are, the more traffic you get - this isn't always true. If your titles and descriptions seem to match the searcher's requirements, and you're still visible you will often get the click ahead of number 1 (assuming you're in the top 10!)

To take an example, for the search 'Holidays to Istanbul' if, in the results page, your title and description says "Low Cost Holidays to Istanbul" but you are in the position 4, then you are probably still likely to get more clicks into your site than a competitor's listing that says "Low Cost Holidays to Turkey", even if your competitor is higher up in the search engine results page.

Page 1 on a Search Engine is not always good Value for Money

Imagine you rent a shop on the High Street. Yes, you will get more traffic but your rent will also be very high, which means that your profit per sale will be reduced. There are lots of shops 2 or 3 streets behind the High Street and even further away, who also do good business. They get lower traffic numbers but, as their rent is much lower, their profit per sale is much higher. Especially for niche shops, being on the High Street is usually not good value for money.

This same analogy works for search engines. It costs more money to optimise or PPC your site for the first page of a search engine results page but sometimes being on a lower page will actually prove to be a better business proposition as the costs involved will be much lower.

Search engines aren't the only source of traffic!

Search engines aren't the only place online where people look for your services or products. Sure, they're important and can lead to more sales and brand awareness, but people can find your site from other sources too: email newsletters, word of mouth, traffic from other websites and increasingly through social media. None of these replace the humble search engine in terms of importance (yet!), but they do combine to provide a valuable source of visitors, and often these may be cheaper and less time consuming for a better quality of customer.

Site conversion and sales are more important than traffic for traffic's sake

Let's go back a step here. Why do people care about their Google ranking? To get more visitors. Okay, go back one step further, why do they want more visitors? To get more sales.

Sure, top spot will, with the right title and description, almost always get more visitors, but that's completely counter intuitive if the users are rushing into the site, not finding what they want and clicking out just as readily! In most cases, it's a far better idea to spend more time and resources worrying about site conversion strategies (look to book strategies) than pushing for that spot higher in Google.

So perhaps it's best to stop obsessing over number 1 slot, and be satisfied with offering the best experience you can offer. Being number 1 is a massive ego boost, and will increase your visibility, but there are more important issues to be concerned with when marketing your website. Good sites will rise naturally over time, and in the greater scheme of things a good site conversion rate and customer experience is preferable to vast quantities of unfocussed traffic anyway.

Article Marketing - The Single Most Effective Method To Increase Your Sales On The Internet!

Writing and submitting articles to directories can considerably increase your traffic and sales. It doesn't matter if you never wrote a single word before or if the last time you wrote a three hundred words article was more than ten years ago.

If you have a website about 'dog training', start writing right away. Just write like you talk. In fact, you can just write your articles as though you were talking in just simple, every day language that your reader will enjoy reading.

Don't be too concerned if you don't think you are good at writing articles, they don't need to be perfect. All you need to do is to give your reader useful information. If you can help them and give them the solution that to solve their problems faster, you will make a lot of money.

Your articles don't need to be extremely long but most article directories will have a minimum word of around 250 words.

With article marketing, you can promote your own product, affiliate products, your website or your blog. In fact, you can promote everything under the sun. Just be sure to add a bio box with a link to your web property.

Another advanced technique is to send your visitors to a squeeze page to capture their email address. Doing this will allow you to send them promotional offers for months to come.

Once you have written an article you then need to submit it to article directories. It is important to submit to at least a couple of the top directories such as EzineArticles, Article Dashboard and Article City. These directories have high page rankings so your articles will receive many visitors. Now when your articles have been approved and published then you should receive many visitors when people search Google for any of your keywords.

Article Marketing - How to Build an Empire Writing Five Articles a Month

Do you offer a truly brilliant product or service? Do you wish you had more leads to sell it to? Do you need to drive more revenue so you have cash on hand to spend on implementing better and better ideas, or to bring on additional staff? If you are answering "yes" to these questions, YOU NEED A MORE EXCEPTIONAL ONLINE PRESENCE THROUGH ARTICLE MARKETING!

With so much business and research being done on the internet these days, you absolutely have to be found there, and found at least a hundred different ways. Anything less and you are missing out on TONS of business that you could be creating! Do you have any idea how much more revenue you could be generating if you took the time to craft a well written article marketing campaign?

I'm telling you it's millions! Let me show you how...

For the purpose of this article, we will already assume that your website does an exceptional job of describing the pain of your customers (what are they looking for?), presenting your credentials (to help the visitor see why you are qualified to solve their problems), and providing the solutions to your customer's everyday problems. We'll assume that it is filled with calls to action (provocative statements intended to poke the visitor into doing something) and opt-in opportunities (ways for you to collect visitor's contact info).

If your website does not yet include all of these elements address these issues first!

If it does, READ ON AND LET'S DISCUSS THE POWER OF ARTICLE MARKETING.

When people have a question, they go to Google, Yahoo or MSN and they type in a list of keywords or keyword phrases. The words they type determine the list that comes up on the search engines and it is there that magic can happen. YOUR WORDS CAN APPEAR! Are they up there now?

TIME OUT: Go to a search engine and type in the keywords someone might use if they were looking for someone to solve the problem that your business solves. Do you come up as the solution? Do you come up in the organic list? Do you come up multiple times?

If not, keep reading!

YOU NEED ARTICLES OUT THERE DOING YOUR WORK FOR YOU!

When someone is looking for a business like yours, does your voice ring out from the heavens, providing guidance, words of wisdom, and words of inspiration? Does Google bring them to your front door and invite them in to look around? Articles are like little sales people, and brilliantly, they are little sales people that you only have to hire one time to work for you FOREVER. Let me say that again, because you probably didn't hear me. Articles work for you FOREVER. F-O-R-E-V-E-R.

The reason I emphasize this is because of the power of article marketing. Every time you put together an article and send it out onto the internet, you are putting in place a sales person that will forever deliver your message. Do that again and again and you are putting out a SALES FORCE -each of which you pay only once!

WRITE ARTICLE, SUBMIT ARTICLE, REPEAT

WRITE ARTICLE, SUBMIT ARTICLE, REPEAT

WRITE ARTICLE, SUBMIT ARTICLE, REPEAT

Like the law of compounding interest with money - repeatedly putting out articles onto the internet will exponentially create value and generate more and more leads for your business. If you can commit to five articles per month, at the end of three months, you'll have FIFTEEN (15) sales people talking your talk and introducing searchers to your message and your SOLUTION to their problem. After six months, you've got thirty (30) of these sales people. At the end of one year, you'll have sixty (60). After two years, you'll have ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY, and...

After three years, YOU'LL HAVE NEARLY 200 SALES PEOPLE delivering different and exceptional messages about your business. And the most wonderful thing, is that they are all little replicas of you. So they are consistent. They deliver different messages, present different solutions, cover different topics, but they all express your unique methodology and the core values and spirit of YOUR business.

If you were to submit five articles per month, and generate $30,000 per month in revenue, after three years, and one hundred and eighty articles you have the potential of driving $360,000 of monthly revenue. Yes, I said MONTHLY revenue. That's more than 4 MILLION in annual revenue. Are you kidding me? So why aren't more people utilizing article marketing? The answer is - they are. But they are writing terrible articles!!!!! And they are killing their businesses, because each article they are sending out is doing BAD business for them, and doing it FOREVER!

SO WHAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BAD ARTICLE MARKETING AND GOOD ARTICLE MARKETING?

Here are five things your article marketing MUST do! (Are you taking notes?)

1. IT MUST HAVE A CATCHY TITLE OR NO ONE WILL READ IT!

We are a snippet society. We read everything in headlines from newspaper stories, to search headlines, to book titles. Titles grab us or they don't. Make sure that yours is clever, provides the solution to the reader's problem, and utilizes your keywords!

2. YOUR OPENING PARAGRAPH NEEDS TO HIGHLIGHT THE READER'S PAIN.

Look at the first paragraph of this article. Did it draw you in? Did it help you to determine that this article had value? Make the opening emotionally impacting by grabbing the reader's attention and identifying with their PAIN!

3. YOUR ARTICLE MARKETING MUST DELIVER VALUE.

It must offer them a solution to their problem. GIVE AWAY YOUR SECRETS! Don't be afraid to give your reader what they need for FREE. Chances are they are going to recognize that they would rather work with an expert than try to solve this problem on their own. Give someone a fish and they have dinner tonight. Teach them to fish and they can feed themselves forever. But open a grocery store down the street and chances are, they'll buy the fish from you. People only have so much time in their days and if they find a trustworthy source that can make their life easier or their business more profitable, they are going to take you up on it!

4. YOU MUST USE YOUR KEYWORDS WITHIN YOUR TEXT.

The search engines are going to identify each article by the words within it. So you have to be thinking about how people are going to find you. What words are they going to use in their searching? There are so many resources on the net that can help you determine the right keywords. Find one and use it. Then repeat those words throughout your article (just shy of being irritating about overusing them) and you'll find greater success!

5. LASTLY, YOUR ARTICLE MARKETING MUST PROVIDE A CALL TO ACTION.

Lead the reader to do something. Whether it be to download your eBook, call you directly, or click onto your website. Typically, you want to lead them to the next thing they can get for FREE. People like FREE. So lead them to your website, where they can download an eBook that solves this same problem but in more depth, or better yet, offer them a FREE strategy session if they contact you by email. Make it easy for them, like "Hey, I'll even have my assistant set up a time for me to talk to you directly for 20 minutes about ways you can build your business based on these principles. FREE."

Wishing you the best in business and the best in life.

Article Marketing - A Perfect Reason To Be Self-Employed!

One of the most profitable ways of online income, as many have found, is article marketing. Publishers will definitely want to use your domain for their benefits leading to high traffics for you, if your articles are enjoyable and provide good value.

Article marketing can yield huge benefits for both the publisher and the marketer. As a publisher, your main aim is to keep fresh articles coming with the demand to ensure future success. The loyalty and branding could be available before hand. To meet this demand, a publisher freely use any author's content as long as the resource list section is in place. This would mean that the links provided would eventually give the credit to the actual author.

The main aims for a marketer is to do both, increase his market creditability as well as to float the links to as many people as possible. He can create an endless stream of articles using which affiliate items can be promoted through your resource box. You can however, yield more benefits by developing a targeted list.

The commission earned by merely directing traffic to another website is small and temporary. One can open an endless list of profitable routes by capturing the name and email address of a user through a freebie subscription box.

Article marketing is not necessarily a painstaking task. One can buy private labels rights articles and then pass them ahead as their own and with their own hyperlinks, by making only subtle changes.

Articles posted on some of the well-known article websites and directories do not have to be very lengthy. They can merely be a few hundred words. They must however, prove to be worthy for the publisher by containing valuable text that makes the reader think positively in favor of both the marketer and the publisher!

To YOUR Success,

Article Marketing - How Do You Motivate Yourself Everyday to Write Articles?

Q: How do you motivate yourself to write articles everyday?

A: You know what? That is a really good question. As I think about it, you are really asking two questions -

1. How do I get motivated to write articles everyday?

and

2. How do I stay motivated to write articles everyday?

Fortunately the answers to either question apply to both questions.

How to get and stay motivated to write articles everyday

I have several tips for you which I will share in bullet point form -

  • You need to write regularly to get and stay motivated. Writing regularly keeps you in the flow of article writing and makes article writing much easier.
  • When you are writing regularly, you see article ideas everywhere.
  • Keep a pad and pen with you or a voice recorder to capture your article ideas as they come. One of the most de-motivating things that can happen is to have a great idea, not capture it, and then not remember the idea when you sit down to write about it.
  • Keep in mind at all times the results of regular article writing and marketing. You may even want to write the results down somewhere that you can see everyday. In addition to the pure pleasure of writing, the results are the most motivating factor for me. I don't hope - I don't think - I know that the more articles I write, the more traffic, prospects, subscribers, customers, fun and profits I am going to have.

Keep all of these tips, especially the results, in mind to get and keep you motivated to write your articles.

And with your permission, I'd like to offer you free access to two of my Article Writing Templates that will help you write everyday. You can download them by going to

One way links pays a lot for your link building strategy. They can increase your websites presence and strength in all major search engines. Link building is a process which takes place away from the actual constructed site. There are different ways of getting one way links. Some of these are indicated as under-

Directory submissions - This is one of the most reliable source of getting one way links. You need to submit to the relevant category in the directory that allows one way submission some directories give approval easily. Directories first review the sites manually and then give approvals. In case the submission or the website submitted is not according the suggested guidelines of directory, it is often rejected. This process can take weeks to months depending upon the directory status and differ from one directory to other. High quality and high page rank directories often accept paid submissions.

Article submissions are other way for getting links. The main purpose of article is to provide useful information related with your website topic to the readers. Generally article should not be in directly in the form of promotion and advertisement statement. Such articles do not get approvals. Articles should be written in a way to discuss some specific theme or topic related to your website and providing reliable information from it. Apart from getting links the other benefit of article is that website owner can generate a good amount of visitors to the site. Articles are submitted in article directories and some good amount of article sites are Ezine articles and article dashboard etc.

Another way is Social book marking sites which is also one of the best source of getting links from web pages. A person needs to register in these sites and they can store the links to the web pages which they find it effective and useful for them. Whenever they log into the account they have the access to the links stored by them. Other users can also access these links. Thus these links assist in search engine optimization for website. Other people with similar interest and category and tag can view these links. Social book marking sites allows the users to tag and bookmark the pages and users can search for the bookmark associated with a given tag.

Blog is a website where you can continuously contribute some stuff in the form of an article, information or knowledge base. You can always provide something latest through a blog. Visitors are able to know what is new and people become aware about your website. Through blog people comes to know about your website. Just like articles blogs can bring a good amount of traffic to your website. . Blogs also comes in instances of website and counts as back links. You can post your blog in various number of blog sites available. You can include link of your website in the blog to generate a visitor to the blog to your webpage.

Another important feature is press release which is a statement or announcement for the launch of a new product or services, news and event related to your website. These are submitted in press release sites and an important way of getting the one way links.

Another important feature is RSS submission which means really simple syndication. It the summary of the content of an associated website in the form of an XML file. We can include links to the website pages for which we want one way links. This makes it possible for people to manage their websites in an automated manner which seems easier then to check manually.

Easy Search Engine Optimization

When people search for something online, they type the keyword or key phrase in the popular search engines, which give them an extensive list of sites relevant to that search. Now to make your website visible in the first set of search results, it needs to have a good page rank. Search engine optimization is the means to this end, the branch of activity which aims at enhancing this rank of a website with some structured strategies. Most owners of sites invest a fortune and valuable time in creating a web presence, but sadly, they fail to consider the more important aspect that is, how the website will come to the notice of web-users.

Long back it was just a matter of some time to launch a site design it, fill it up with nice content and submit it into some directories it was as simple as that! And search engines would also give good ranking to that website for the keywords featuring in the body-text of the web page.

And since the number of websites present then were not even half as much of what is there now and since the techniques of optimizing a site in search engines were not as improved, keywords could be repeated along with other otherwise refutable maneuvers like creating many domains with the same content. And this too ensured those sites a good position in the popular search engines.

But things have come a long way from that now. There has been a dramatic change in the search engine marketing scenario. Today, just ordinary designing, content and submission wont help; the website owner needs to do his homework study the various types of relevant keywords typed in search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN and then fashion his/her website accordingly so that the website ranks well enough to be viewed by the majority of people. And because today people tend to look for everything online and keep searching for the right goods and services till they find it, the search engine optimization is a big challenge, although with some amount of risk involved.

Now web presence is something very important here. If you are stepping into the online scene, your website needs to have a web presence. If not, you have a disfavor. The search engines, particularly Google, do not prefer giving high ranks to new domains. Position improves with time, as the website becomes old.

So obviously, websites which are older in time and already have a secured web presence, stand a better chance of getting higher ranks in the search engine. Listed below are some of the key factors for achieving the top positions in search engines.

Clean Codes: All search engines prefer a neatly coded website. When a webpage is designed in MS Word, it generates untidy html code. This is not a good thing. Also, website owners need to be careful about the WYSIWYG editors. Some use proprietary tags in the html and thus become uncongenial to the search engines.

Content: No saying would suffice for the stupendous importance of proper content that helps a website to score high in the search engines. Content is the backbone for any site. Search engines often look for relevant keywords or phrases in the body text of a webpage to identify those with the searched words/phrases. If found, your website is considered relevant for those keywords and you can expect a pretty good rank.

Tags: Yet another very vital aspect in html coding is the title tags and meta-description tags. To give your website a decent search engine position, these tags must contain the relevant keywords which you think users will look for.

Linking: Simply put, linking means other websites linking to your website. Now how would that help, you ask? This is good for your website precisely because the search engines consider each related link on your site as a given vote. The logic is easy if site X links to site Y, it obviously follows that site Y is of some value or worthy of it. These links can either come from important directories like Yahoo! or Dmoz, or from other related websites. For instance, if your website promotes clothes, a link from a fashion houses website would be relevant and count as a good vote in search engine parameters. However, exchanging links with questionable sites like link farms is not appreciated. Link farms are considered worthless in the sense that these are directories that just collect links without any valuable content in them. So whenever you add links to your website, ensure that those links have your targeted keywords in their anchor text.

Article Marketing - A Simple But Powerful Promotion Skill

Article marketing is a valuable method of getting traffic to your website. In case you're not familiar with it, article marketing is basically the process of writing articles and submitting them, along with links back to your website, to article reprint directories on the internet.

You're probably quite aware of the value of having fresh content on your website and blog. Many people who own websites visit article reprint directories on a regular basis to get new content for their sites.

When you submit your article to these directories, you're giving permission for other people to use your article on their site - for free. The catch is, they have to include an "about the author" section at the end of each article they use. This can include information about your website and links back to it.

When your article gets used on someone's website, everyone who reads the article sees your author bio and the links back to your website. A good article can wind up on hundreds of websites, where many people can read it. And how many of those people could click your link and visit your website?

These article directories are easy to find. Just do a Google search for free article directories and you'll find a bunch. Some of them are specific to certain topics, while others will accept articles on almost any subject. You can submit your article to multiple directories and you can even get software that will automate the process for you.

You have virtually unlimited topics to write about. What is your website about? Get creative in thinking up topics. If someone would want to visit your website to learn something, write an article about that.

Someone who sells Tupperware for instance, could easily write about food related items or take it a step further an write an article about the fact that the plastic containers are great for organizing toys, bathroom items or even nuts and bolts in the garage.

If you don't like writing, it's not the end of the world. You can hire ghostwriters to write the articles for you, for anywhere from $5 to $20 for a 500 word article. Once you give the ghostwriter the topic and any keywords you want to target, they'll do all the writing for you. And some will even do the submission to the article directories so you can spend your time on other tasks.

Stop giving your content away for free - get paid for your article marketing. Find out how you can get paid for submitting articles with the internet's first viral article network. Visit http://www.articlesgoneviral.com for more information about how you can make money with your articles.

Website Promotion, RSS And Squidoo - How To Create an RSS Feed For Your Squidoo Lens

Squidoo has really made a splash on the SEO scene. As people have uncovered the remarkable Google rankings that have shown up for their squidoo pages (called "lenses"). The site has quickly become a web site promotion tool of choice.

Before we jump into how RSS can (and can't) work with Squidoo, let's examine a bit more about RSS.

What are feeds and how can I create an RSS file for my website?

RSS stands most commonly for "Really Simple Syndication", and is a file format that is incorporated by users in their websites to allow for web syndication, making their web content available to feed readers or syndication services.

People who want to keep updated of recently added content on a particular site or topic of interest will subscribe to a feed reader which "spits out" a short title, description and link to the most recently added content. How does this occur? You create an RSS file for your website and submit it to syndication services that will crawl your RSS file and display your added content items to it's feed. The more subscribers to your feed, the more links and traffic you'll see at your website. So you see how RSS is great website promotion tool especially if you're frequently adding valuable content, news or press releases.

How do you know if a website is syndicated?

Websites that contain RSS ' typically have colorful graphics to indicate to users that the specific web content is available through RSS feeds. These graphics are usually depicted by orange rectangles that are usually marked with 'RSS' or 'XML'.

Here is in example RSS file:

Notes -

  • The "channel" is the feed.
  • The "items" are the individual pieces of content /pages you want to syndicate.
  • Don't put spaces in between your tags as below.

Now open up note pad, or another simple text editor...copy and paste this document, filling in your own info. Remember to remove excess spaces in this template.

< ?xml version="1.0" ? >

< rss version ="2.0">

< channel >

< title >The Channel Title Goes Here< / title >

< description > The explanation of how the items are related goes here< / description >

http://www. directoryoflinksgohere< / link>

< item >

< title >The Title Goes Here

< description >The description goes here< /description >

< link >http://www. linkgoeshere.com

< / item>

< item >

< title >The Title Goes Here

< description >The description goes here< /description >

< link >http://www. linkgoeshere.com

< / item>

< / channel >

< /r ss >

When you save the file be sure to save it as an xml file.

Next, you'll want to validate your feed to make sure it's readable, and to submit it to feed reader websites so that the content syndication can begin.

RSS and Squidoo

There are two primary ways to leverage RSS for your lens.

1. Subscribing to feeds to flesh out your content

Squidoo offers a module that allows you to display your feed snippets related to the topic of your lens. This is a great way to continually increase the variation and volume of your lens content. If you look at all the top lenses, many have RSS modules. Know that in order for your lens to show up on Squidoo you have to have added at least 3 blocks of content, which tells us that content is an important criterion for Squidoo ranking. Where do you find RSS feeds for your Squidoo lens?" Any blog or website that has a feed will indicate this by the orange rectangle describe above. Just subscribe and read up on the RSS module in the "add modules" section of your lens workshop. (For more advanced Squidooers, RSS feeds are dynamically generated in a visitor's browser. These feeds won't convince Google that your lens frequently updates it's content.)

2. Syndicating / Creating a Feed For Your Squidoo Lens

Normally a feed for your website would live in your websites directory, I.e; www.yoursite. com/feed.rss. This method isn't possible with Squidoo, but fortunately there is a work around. http://squidutils.com/ offers many advanced utilities for lens masters, including feed url generation. Simply input your Squidoo user name, and a feed for your lens will automatically be created with a URL. Now you can hit all of the rss search engines and start submitting your feed!

Article Marketing - 6 Strategic Ways To Write An Article In Less Than 10 Minutes

These five strategies will vastly increase your article writing speed. If you just follow these tactics, you'll start pumping out articles every ten minutes. I promise.

6 strategic ways to make a successful article in less than 10 minutes

  1. Writing in bullet points is a great way to write article faster. Instead of trying to think of a way to make a sentence that connects your last sentence to the next one, you can just put up a bullet point. This is a fast way to write an article, and readers love it when you use bullet points.

  2. Using the backspace button will decrease your articles submission rate. Try your best not to use the back space. The more you use it, the slower your article writing becomes. The backspace button is your enemy!

  3. Do not write rough drafts and brain storms. This will decrease your article writing time. By the time your done writing the brainstorm and rough draft, you could have already written more than 5 articles waiting to be submitted. So don't write rough drafts or articles. This vastly decreases your article writing time.

  4. Writing without thinking is one of the best ways to write a fast article. Don't stop to think if your last sentence was good or not. Chances are that it was good enough. Just write and don't think about what to write about. Just do it. Let your subconscious flow through your fingertips and let your hands write you a successful article.

  5. Write about something that you know about. Writing about something you have that absolutely no idea what it's about will increase your writers block and decrease your articles submission time. Write about something you know!

  6. Split up your subject into sub topics. The more sub topics you have, the better. Then once your done breaking it up, start writing about each sub topic. This is a great way to write a fast article because your not trying to squeeze in every ounce of information about your subject. Your just trying to write small fragments about your subject.

This article only took me 8 minutes to write and now I am going to be working on my next one. Just follow these strategies, and your article writing speed will vastly increase!

Article Marketing To Promote Your Work From Home Business

Blatant advertising is quickly becoming a dying art online as people are rejecting more and more the in your face advertising technique from online marketers. Unsolicited emails (spamming) has drastically cut the way bulk email spammers flood our inboxes with advertisings for almost any item in the world. Other forms of advertising like safelists, traffic exchanges and other forms of direct advertising are also having minimal effect when employed by an internet marketer.

In stark contrast article marketing has become the buzz as more marketers are inclined to use this method of advertising. No wonder web 2.0 technology was an instant success when introduced. Social bookmarking and networking was the fuel content marketing needed to push online advertising to the next level.

What does this mean for you...you must be able to put at least 250 words together to form sentences, then paragraphs and 'Eureka' you have an article. Note you don't have to be an English major to write effective article, as for me I always tell friends and colleagues that I write just like I would talk, I don't have a great command of the English language so definitely one cannot expect my article to make for perfect reading by the educated elite...but the main thing is my thoughts are been communicated effectively. Try to make your writing easily read, so even if you have excellent command of the English language, remember not all your readers will understand some of the "big words" you may use in your presentation. Just keep it simple.

Now you may ask the question "why article marketing"? but my answer would be "why not"? It is a fact that most people that enter a search term on a search engine is looking for information and article writing and by extension marketing will provide such information to satisfy the needs of the one seeking information, and yes if your information is packaged correctly you can gain a client/customer/team member.

So churn your work from home business into overdrive by utilizing article writing complimented by all the tools available in web 2.0. You will be surprised at what article writing will do for your Search Engine Optimization Marketing efforts.

Targeted Article Marketing - Revealed - 4 Powerful Secrets to Multiply Your Article Marketing

Writing and submitting articles on a regular basis can be a very time-consuming task. It can be also stressful and exhausting. Just imagine the overwhelming requirements; from putting your ideas to writing, considering SEO on your articles, targeting your client base, and finding publishing sites that can give your articles the exposure they deserve. So why on earth would you utilize it on your marketing campaigns? The answer is simple. It's because the technique really delivers. It improves your search engine standing, it connects you to your client base, and it promises you huge profits. In the end, your efforts will surely yield great rewards.

Here are the 4 powerful secrets to article marketing:

1. Write more articles. This is the surest way to grow your article marketing campaign. Write about topics that you are very knowledgeable about so you won't spend more time doing extensive research. When you write about topics that you are very familiar with, you can be more productive. Try to write 5-10 articles per day so you can generate at least 35 back links for your site per week.

2. Be organized. Maximize your time by carefully planning what you do and how you do it. For instance, if you are to submit your articles, list all the publishing sites so you don't have to search them online every time you submit your articles.

3. Pick the best publishing sites. Choose the ones that have quicker reviewing and posting time so your articles will be visible to your readers as soon as possible. Also, consider their page ranking; if they are not even showing up on the search result page, they won't do your campaign any good.

4. Submit regularly. To improve your online presence, I suggest that you submit articles every other day. By doing so, your readers have something to look forward to when they search your name for information.
