Keyword Research - Why It Can Make Or Break Your Business

Keyword research is the most important thing you need to do for your online business. If you fail to do your research properly you are literally leaving cash on the table. This article will explain the importance of finding the right keywords for your online business empire whether you are an affiliate marketer or selling your own products online.

Firstly, if you are using the free keyword research tools then you are wasting valuable hours. To truly succeed in finding the right keywords you will need to invest in a keyword tool which will automate the process for you.

Researching many thousands of keywords, which can make you money, will take you days to complete, the powerful keyword research tools of today can do it in seconds.

These keyword tools extrapolate their data from a number of sources and and give you search data,,RS rations, and kei you will also be shown how much competition there is in the search engines at a push of a button.

When you analyse this data, you will want to be looking at which keywords represent a searcher looking to buy your product. Forget about broad search terms as people researching a product use these terms. You want to target keywords towards the end of the research cycle, such as digging for keywords based on the product name such as " product name review" " but product name" and " where to buy product name" etc.

If you are selling a product that will help your potential customer cure or help them with something look for those types of keywords. EG lets say your selling an ebook on the "golf swing" target keywords that are being searched about how to cure a slice or a hook or how to drive further etc. These are keywords being used to help the searcher cure their problem. You just have to target the keywords with your product and give them the solution... for a price of course...

Keyword research need not be a time consuming problem when you can automate the process by investing some of your cash into a keyword research tool that can give you all the data you require in minutes.

Keyword Research is a need for any online business. Visit http://www.keyword-elite.affili8biz.com to discover how you can automate your keyword research in minutes

Inbound Link Mania - 10 Key Content Strategies to Increase Online Visibility

Now more than ever, if you want to be a successful business owner, you need a successful business website. Which means you have to make nice with the search engines. And the long-standing rule of search engine friendliness is to create inbound links -- links from other sites pointing to your site.

Ten-ish years ago, when Google started the shift away from code to content (including inbound links) as the preferred way of determining "relevance," the world changed. Immediately, businesses owners started scrambling, and begging, for every link they could get. Thank goodness that's not the case anymore! But inbound links are still important. In many ways they're more vital than ever.

How then, does one go about getting those precious nuggets of hypertext anchor tagging? Social Media maven and "Chief Nut" Kevin Skarritt, our good friend and strategic ally at Acorn Creative, offered up these 10 strategies on his "Nuts and Bolts of Brand" blog. Good guy that he is, he gave us permission to share those key linking strategies with you here. Hit it!

1. BLOG COMMENTS

Go out of your way to read other people's blogs. Your Mother always told you that reading is good for you. She was right! But, when you do so, be sure to productively interact with those bloggers. It makes them feel good. It validates what they're writing about. It starts up a relationship between the two of you. AND, here's the best part, it gives you an inbound link to your site.

2. BLOG TRACKBACKS

Start your own blog and refer to all of those blogs you're reading in the form of a "trackback" in your posts. Don't know what this means? Check out the entry for "trackback" on Wikipedia, or go deeper with a Wordpress.org tutorial. However you learn more about this linking strategy, please do, because it's a smart, easy, and effective way to get your website lots of inbound links.

3. PAY PER CLICK ADVERTISING

Yes, PPC advertising is indeed an added marketing expense. However, it's a controllable, predictable means to build ROI, and a great way to build inbound links where you have control over the text used in the link tag.

4. PARTICIPATE ON INDUSTRY FORUMS

Similar to blog comments and trackbacks, participating on industry forums will get you hooked up with other like-minded professionals, keep you abreast of current trends, and you get to build your own inbound links in the signature line of your posts.

5. BUILD OTHER PAGES

Some new social networking sites on the web allow you to create content and post it in their domain as new pages. One great example of this is Seth Godin's Squidoo.com. By creating "lenses" that focus readers on a particular topic of interest, you get to engage readers and create more inbound links to your main site.

6. WIKIS

The concept of a wiki (like wikipedia.org) is that readers also become content contributors. Anyone who is registered can log in and change content. Understand that other readers of this information-rich content have zero tolerance for salesy/advertising tactics, so, be careful with this one. Be purely informative and helpful with your newly posted content. If the content survives peer scrutiny, you'll have a nice little inbound link that's potentially seen by millions.

7. SOCIAL NETWORKING

MySpace and FaceBook for sure, but there's an explosion of social networking web sites out there. Dive in and start participating. Doing so allows you to interact with other professionals and, you guessed it, builds up inbound links.

8. SOCIAL BOOKMARKING

Different than social networking, social bookmarking is similar to how you used to bookmark sites in your browser but, instead, you bookmark your favorite sites publicly, in sites like de.licio.us, ma.gnolia.com, spurl.com, rojo.com, Google bookmarks ... the list goes on and on. The goal is to have people discover these bookmarks, and then your site. An added benefit to social bookmarking (and blog posts) is you get to "tag" your content with words and phrases that are relevant to the content. These tags are used to identify the content in the search process.

9. ORGANIZED SURFING SITES

This is a variation of social bookmarking. There are sites that organize how people surf the web in an effort to make the process of finding the right content faster and more focused. StumbleUpon.com (available as a Firefox plugin) is one of my favorites but others like Technorati (blog content), Digg (blogs, articles and news stories) and newcomer Trailfire (another Firefox plugin) allow users to power-surf, finding your site via inbound links.

10. LINK BEGGING

Don't discount it just yet. Asking another site owner for a link sometimes still works. However, with all of the other options listed above, you'll quickly learn that this tactic is largely time-consuming and unproductive.

Any good car salesman will recite the old adage, "plan your work and work your plan." This especially holds true for your inbound link strategy. Whether you focus on one or set up a tactic to diversify, divide and conquer, don't wait. The success of your website -- and ultimately, your business -- depends on it!

Ten Ways to Generate Website Traffic

There are many different ways to drive traffic to your websites. This article will cover the ten primary methods of traffic generation that most people use to drive visitors to their websites.

A note about traffic generation - you do not have to use all ten methods to drive traffic to your site. Many people find that it is best to concentrate their efforts on 2-3 methods and become proficient and consistent in their efforts with those techniques. Oftentimes, if you spread yourself too thin using too many methods, you will find that you are unable to maintain the consistency of effort necessary to succeed. Therefore, find the methods that work best for you and master those before moving on to other methods.

Search Engine Traffic (SEO)

Search Engine Traffic is any traffic sent to you by search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Visitors are directed to your site based on the search engine's result set for a keyword or keywords. This type of traffic is great, if you can get your website high in search engine rankings. Search Engine traffic takes time and effort to develop, and requires both on and off-page optimization techniques (which are outlined in this blog.). If you are attracted to this method of traffic generation, realize that it can potentially take months of effort on your part to achieve a high ranking on Google and Yahoo, and then then there's no guarantee of success. But, if you can get the coveted #1 listing for your keywords on Google or Yahoo, you will certainly see a lot of traffic.

PPC Advertising

PPC advertising is ideal if you want to drive traffic to your site very quickly and don't mind paying for it. If you do use PPC advertising, making sure you have some method of capturing the prospect's contact info (name, email) to make the most of this traffic. Remember, once your ad campaign stops, so does all the traffic.

Article Marketing

Article Marketing is a great technique to use to build traffic to your site, increase your search engine ranking, and establish yourself as an expert. See my earlier post about article marketing for more details. Article marketing is something you'll want to establish as as long-term strategy - traffic will grow over time and number of articles published, so you must be diligent. It is recommended that you publish at least one article per day consistently over several months if you want to see real, long-lasting results from this technique.

Press Releases

Press releases are a little-known and incredibly powerful method of marketing your products and services. Want to get noticed by 10,000 people minimum overnight? Put out a press release. Ever notice that on a Google result set, press releases are listed above the first result on a search? That's the power of press releases. The key with press releases is to make them news and not marketings peak. For example, a press release about how great your product is would not acceptable, but a PR about your charitable contributions, or an independent survey done by your company confirming an authority source on some important issue in your niche would be.

Link Building

Link building involves contacting other websites that are complementary to yours and getting them to link to you. You'll effectively 'steal' some traffic from their site, and you'll increase your own Google PR. Link building has always been a traditional backbone of traffic generation, but has been overshadowed in popularity by other techniques. Again, this is a long-term strategy, and you must be consistent in your efforts if you are to be successful with this method.

Blogs

Blogs are a great way to generate traffic to your website. By establishing yourself as an expert in your field and giving your product a personal front (you), you are helping your customers feel comfortable about buying from you, and creating a fantastic venue from which to drive traffic to anywhere you want. Alternatively, posting intelligent commentary to a posting of the blog of an expert in your field is also a good way to generate. Make sure that your comment is relevant and useful - don't just spam a link to your site in your comments or you're likely to get deleted.

Videos

Videos are an incredibly powerful way to drive traffic and grab attention for your products or services - just look at the success of YouTube. You can get literally tens of thousands of people looking at your videos within a day of your posting them on YouTube - more if your videos go Viral.

Forums

The Forum model is much like posting comments to blogs. The idea is to post a link to your site in a forum posting or reply, but you have to make sure that your post is relevant or useful, or your post will be deleted and you bill be banned from the forum. So, the best forum strategy is to invest some time in establishing yourself as a forum expert before you start adding links to your site in your posts. It will be much harder for forum administrators to kick you if you are an established and contributing member of their community.

Paid Links / Ads

Paid links on high PR authority sites in your niche are also a great way to drive traffic to your website. They will give you direct traffic to your site, as well as raise your Google search traffic due to increased relevance of your website for your keywords because of a one-way link from a high PR site.

Social Networking / Web 2.0

Social Networks are currently one of the hottest ways of generating massive traffic to your websites. With some intelligent manipulation of profile pages of MySpace, Squidoo, FaceBook, and others, I've seen friends not only get on page one of Google for their keywords in a day, but also get several different entries listed on the Google results! Used intelligently, social networks can drive massive traffic to your websites.

Article Marketing - Revealed - 6 Challenging Steps To Improve Your Article Marketing

Article marketing is the process of writing and distributing your articles to publishing sites to obtain quality inbound links for your website. As this marketing tool offers online users what they are looking for - information, this is currently one of the most effective and efficient ways to market your products online and popularize your website.

Here are the 6 challenging steps to improve your article marketing:

1. Your article titles must be able to easily grab the attention of online users. The competition in getting the attention of online users is getting stiffer by the minute as millions of marketers and online entrepreneurs are using article marketing as their primary marketing arm. As such, you need to make sure that your articles have that edge so you can increase your clickthrough rate. This can easily be done by using titles that are striking and interesting.

2. Use K.I.S.S. Technique. This simply means, keep it short and simple as this is what your audience prefer. They want to read articles that run 300-500 words and contain simple terms that they can easily understand.

3. Never advertise on your content. Both online users and publishers dislike articles that read like sales letters. Remember, your main objective in posting your articles online is to educate your readers and not sell your products right away. So, strive to make your article informative and advertise only on your resource box.

4. Write for your readers. Always keep them in mind when writing your articles. Strive to address their needs, demands, and preference so you can keep them happy with your content. When you do, your readers are most likely to read your other articles, click on your resource box, and who knows, they might even make a purchase!

5. Proofread. Nobody is perfect and we all commit mistakes especially if we are trying to put all of our ideas into writing all at once. But that doesn't mean that your readers should see your errors. You can eliminate these by proofreading your articles before you make them available online.

6. Create an author's bio. Most leading article submission sites like ezinearticles dot com, allow their contributors to create an author's bio so their readers will get to know them more on personal level. Take advantage of this so you can easily build rapport with your potential clients. Make it a little personal by sharing your hobbies, interests, success stories, etc.

Throughout the years many people have learned the secrets of search engine optimization. More and more sites are getting massive results on getting free targeted traffic to their sites. Some people even had articles as their only source of Traffic.

But how do you get traffic from an article? The answer is simple. It is called a resource box. A resource box is something you put a link and then people can click it. Make sure the the site that you are wanting them to go to is relevant to the article that you make.

Like the article, a resource box must also be eye-catching and want the reader to click on the link. If you reader likes you article chances are they will click on the link to find out more about the certain topic you were writing on. This is where the resource box comes handy.

A good thing to put in your resource box is a key word. This, in return, will help you rank higher in the search engines as well as triggering the reader to click on your link. Another tip would be to not mislead your readers. You don't want to send them to a place they will click off of. Instead try sending them to a good looking website so they will stay longer and hopefully buy something.

This little resource box is one of the most important tools to have in getting traffic to your site. You should not take this lightly at all. Try to make the resource box as you have a great deal to offer. If you follow these steps they'll be no reason why someone would want on your website and you will get plenty of free targeted traffic day in and day out.

SEO Article Writing 102 - How to Write Your Own SEO Articles and Generate Free, Targeted Traffic

Article writing is not a casual undertaking. It would be erroneous to assume that effective, traffic-driving articles come cheap and easy. Yes, the Internet is flooded with content these days. However, with articles - like most of the elements of living - great ones are hard (and good) to find. There are three possibilities to consider:

You write and/or submit low-quality articles on given topics in a feeble attempt to generate web traffic. This will only lead to your quick demise. There are literally hundreds of millions of websites in cyberspace that have owners that want to be number one - or even number one hundred and one. Top web sites have fresh, accurate and stimulating content. Poor quality will never cut it, never.

You write and/or submit high-quality, thought-provoking and informative yet entertaining articles. This is a miracle of modern Internet marketing! This is a powerful tool; it can save you thousands of dollars on pay-per-click advertising campaigns. If you can write effective, informative and accurate articles, then you can achieve first-page natural rankings from major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. This article will yield secret knowledge to allow you to do just that.

If you find it impossible to write, that's OK. Not everyone can write. Not everyone can draw a beautiful picture either. Perhaps you need to hire an article writer. There are many excellent freelance writers available online for your benefit. Enough said.

So, you want the secret knowledge, don't you? Here they are: Five protected secrets for writing your own highly-effective, traffic-driving and pre-selling masterpieces.

(1) You have to learn to write naturally - like you would speak to a friend. You are going to have chances to capitalize on the reputation that you can develop with your online readers. Your readers will learn to think of you as a faceless neighbor if you follow a few more simple (and secret) writing rules.

(2) Be honest. Do not ever claim to be an expert in something that you are not. Write about what you know. Everyone is an expert at something. What are you an expert at? In the beginning, take what you know like the back of your hand and write it down. Later, when you become a more confident writer, you can develop your research skills to become a full-fledged researcher/writer if you choose. It's good to make the rule to never publish garbage though.

(3) Have confidence. You know what you know better than any else possibly can. You may not have a formal education. You may not be a world-class linguist. One of the beautiful components of the Internet is its capacity to accommodate the whole world simultaneously. What you know does matter! It matters to a lot of people searching for information in cyberspace. Write what you know down with honest class and let it make you money!

(4) Practice regularly. Face this fact: At first, especially if you have never written or haven't in a long time, it is going to be a bit difficult. Ask yourself what there is that is worth doing that you do not have to give of yourself in order to become efficient at. The answer is clear. You have to practice. You have to do it every chance that you get. If you want to become a powerful writer, then prepare for a lot of work. (Please don't shoot the messenger!)

(5) Have fun. Realize that you are preparing a document that millions of people will possibly read. What do the masses want for? They want to enjoy their days. They want to be taught without condescension. They want to be valued for reading your work in the first place. You give them this value by following the above secrets - and you do it for the fun of it!

Get started. Go write something! Nobody can represent your knowledge, experiences, thoughts, ideas or fantasies better than you can. You are an expert! Sell yourself with articles and grow rich in finance and in spirit.

How To Research The Right Keywords For Your Website

When you set about boosting your ranking on the search engines, you will want to pick keywords that will get you the best results. Selecting the right keywords for your website is a balancing act, but it is essential to get it right for good search engine optimization (SEO).

You want to select keywords that are popular and relevant to your site. However, you do not want keywords that return thousands of results, as it will be very difficult to get to the top of the rankings. Put simply, keywords are the words people type in to search engines when they search for something on the internet.

Ideally, you should do your keyword research before you set up your website as you can then build your site around your targeted keywords. You can employ an e-marketing professional to research the best keywords for you, or you can do it yourself.

There are some great free tools on the internet. Try out the Overture (Yahoo!) Keyword Suggestion Tool. Here you can type in keywords and the keyword suggestion tool will return an estimation of the monthly search volume for that phrase in Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL. It will also show results for similar keywords.

You should select about 15 keywords and key phrases. Perform searches using these words to find competitors websites and see what keywords they are using in their websites, and how they are employed.

Another excellent tool to help you select the best keywords is Wordtracker. It can tell you how often people search for the keywords you chose and can offer some excellent alternative suggestions. You can try it out for free on the Wordtracker website. Google also offers a free keyword suggestion tool.

Once you have selected the right keywords for your website, you will need to use them wisely to achieve the best search engine optimization. The search engines do not like the overuse of keywords and you may even get banned if there are two many keywords and key phrases on your pages.

Keep keyword density in articles to about 2% and make sure that all content reads well and is informative. Articles written with the sole purpose of packing in as many keywords as possible will quickly drive visitors to your site away.

Also, be sure to include your keywords in page titles, META data, and try to work them in to links on your site when possible. Following these tips should help you strike the right balance when choosing your keywords and boost your search engine page ranking.

Powerful SEO Secrets You Can Start Using Today

If you want to rank on top for Google, Yahoo!, and other major search engines, you'll need more than a basic knowledge of search engine optimization. Those who rank high on natural search results do so because they've been able to effectively manage their on-page and off-page optimization factors.

On-page Optimization

What you do on your web pages can have a positive or negative impact on your search results. However, as we'll discuss later in this article, off-page optimization is even more powerful when it comes to increasing your natural search engine placement.

Some of the most important on-page optimization techniques begin with choosing a key word to optimize your page for. There are a number of free tools available on the Internet that can help you find a keyword that is popular but not overly competitive. Keywords that are highly competitive are often very difficult to place well for.

Once you've selected a keyword, you can take advantage of:

Secret #1: Don't optimize for a single keyword, optimize for a keyword phrase. When you optimize for a single keyword, more often than not, that word is highly competitive and your chances of coming out on top are minimal. Where you gain a significant advantage is by focusing on a keyword phrase. This actually increases your chances of ranking well and ultimately helps you towards ranking well for the single word you originally chose.

Secret #2: Place your keyword phrase within the first 25 words of text, and the last 25 words of the page. The h1 tag can be used for developing a headline on your page and emphasizing your keyword phrase within the beginning of your page text (search engines love h1 tags).

Another suggestion is to use your keyword phrase just after your copyright notice on the bottom of your webpage. This ensures that it is present within the last 25 words of your page.

Secret #3: Place your keyword phrase in your page title and description. Additionally, place the keyword phrase throughout your page - being sure to bold the phrase once, italicize the phrase once, and underline the phrase once. Mention your keyword phrase every paragraph or so. Just make sure that it appears natural. If you stuff the page with your keywords, you'll potentially turn off browsers who would otherwise find your page valuable.

Off-page Optimization Now that you've learned about on-page optimization, it's important that you focus your attention on off-page optimization. Of all the techniques that have been developed for SEO, it still comes down to the popularity of your site.

The ranking of your website in a natural search engine result list is directly correlated to the popularity of your website.

So what do I mean by popularity? Popularity is the number and quality of links to your website. Although I've simplified the explanation here, you should know that links essentially count as votes. If everyone is "voting" for a particular website then the website becomes popular.

Secret #4: Get other sites to link to you. There are a number of ways to improve link popularity. Although I won't recommend a specific link building tool, I will say that there have been a number of good products developed that simplify the process. It still takes time and hard work, but over time, increasing the number of sites linking to your website can pay huge dividends.

Secret #5: Make sure that incoming links are of high quality (sites with a high Google page rank). It's not only important to have other sites link to you, it's also important to have quality sites link to you.

Secret #6: Anchor text must include your keyword phrase. When other sites link to you, make sure the link includes your keyword phrase. Sites that link to your domain can help with overall page rank and popularity, but websites who link to you using your keyword phrase (in the anchor text) are what get you to the top of search engine result lists.

Secret #7: Give people a reason to link to your website. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways, white papers, free content or tools, etc., but ultimately it comes down to offering something of value. If you do, other websites will give you their "vote", increasing your link popularity and your search engine results.

Increasing your rank on major search engines isn't complex. But it does take time and effort. If you want to increase your website ranking, begin by implementing what you've learned in this article and stay the course.

Article Writing and Marketing - Choosing Keywords

If you do some or all of your marketing through writing articles and submitting them to free article directories, then this article is a necessity for you. There are a few different theories on how to pick your keywords. Picking keywords can be very important depending on what you want to do with your articles and how you plan to write. Read on to learn how to pick your keywords.

The first method to pick keywords for article writing and marketing is the bum method. This method can be very effective, but can make it a bit difficult to figure out how to write the actual article. The bum method includes choosing a keyword with very little Google search competition that actually gets searched for. The goal with the bum method is to get your article listed on the front page of Google for a search term that has some searches every month.

The second method does not have a name, but basically it is an article writing method that does not include keywords. Some of the gurus believe that you are better of just writing about anything that you know about that can help someone else. The only issue with this method is you are not trying to get listed anywhere, but in the article directories. With this method, though, you can submit your article all over the place and get traffic from tons of article directories.

The last method for article marketing and writing is to use forums to find questions to write about. This method is a good method because if someone asks the question in a forum, then there are probably others that have or will have the same question. You can find a lot of great ideas to write about with this method and the best part is if you don't know the answer to the question you can just read the replies to the question in the forum and find your answer that way.

So, which method should you use when writing articles for marketing purposes? The best answer to this question is to use a combination of these methods. There is traffic to be found with all three of these methods so you should use them all. You will get different traffic from each method so try them all and use them all regularly.

To Achieve Article Marketing And Writing Success You Must Follow These 6 Steps

One way of promoting your website and product can be achieved for free. As an additional bonus, this free method can boost your sites and sales, doubling and even tripling your income.

Article marketing is one of the best free advertising methods there is, the articles on the free content site contains a link to your own website. Readers, after reading your articles, may choose to click on the link and pay you an unexpected visit. Also your articles on the free content are available to other webmasters who may wish to publish that article on their site. Having you article on other websites also means you have a back link which will increase you search engine ranking. As you can see there are some great advantages to article marketing.

Here are some great article marketing tips to help make sure your articles gets published and read.

Article Marketing Step 1. Is to discover your topic and titles. As you would provide a first sentence for your article, one that would immediately grab the attention of your reader. To be concise, you would need to get all the facts that will support and go against your point. At this point you are also going to pic out some key words that best describe the content of your article and use these key words as much as possible throw out the article. This will help a great deal when it comes to search engines finding you article, if no one can find it, it will not get read. It's that simple. Key words are a very important factor in article marketing.

Article Marketing Step 2. One of the methods you can use to prepare yourself for writing articles is creating an outline first. Creating an outline for all your articles makes you prepared. You have an idea of what to do first and make a plan for your succeeding steps. Being prepared makes the job easier and faster. Being organized will allow for disorientation to be shunned away.

Article Marketing Step 3. Never underestimate the power of the resource box. After all this is the why your submitting your article, right? It may be small in size but they will provide a significant aid in driving traffic to your site. A boring resource box will never get a job done. Be fun and creative but at the same time show that you have a great deal to offer, too much to ask for something that couldnt fit a paragraph? Yes and no, there are many tips and guides that can help you in doing this, the first step is realizing how important a resource box could be in making people click your link and be directed to your site.

Article Marketing Step 4. Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine. Guess what? Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically. Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the articles that they are accepting.

Article Marketing Step 5. You can double the number of sites you can submit to by writing articles that the directories want to share with other people. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience overnight.

Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf. In the end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time making quality contents.

Article Marketing Step 6. Reread and reread what you have written down. Always refer to your outline so that you wont drift away from what you had first written down. Its not hard to be caught in the moment and get lost in your writing frenzy. Your outline will help you keep in track. All those hours spent in outlining your article will not go to waste. This will serve as your guide in writing articles. Trust and rely on your outline because this will prove to be a very helpful tool in writing all of your articles.

If you use all these step to market your articles and provide good useful content your article marketing will be very successful.

If you don't feel like writing articles yourself, private label rights articles are always a option. If used properly they can be a great resource. Be sure not to copy private label rights articles word for word. Instead use many different articles and peace them together. This will insure your content is original.

Using The Power Of Craigslist To Explode Your Conventional Or Online Business

Are you looking for a quality, free source of advertising to explode your online or conventional business? Look no further than Craigslist . This advertising medium was started in 1995 by Craig Newmark. The business has grown and now employs 24 people.

Most of the advertising is free, except for job ads that are paid for in selected cities in the US. The classified ads placed on this nearly free medium range from goods and services, to forums, community announcements, and even personal ads.

The Craigslist website isn't flashy, but it sure does work for the people advertising there. The one thing you need to know about Craigslist.org is that they have software in place to keep you from over posting your ad. There are hundreds of clever marketers who have beat the system and post hundreds or maybe more ads per day. From information that I have read, your ad can just disappear from its classification unless you use stealth techniques.

One stealth technique that the mass marketers use is to get some "Hide my IP" software. You see, each computer has its' own unique IP and Craigslist software uses this to track your computers IP address for over posting. There is however, "hide my IP" software available for a reasonable price on the internet to do the job. Good "hide my IP" software can be programmed to change at intervals that you choose.

Another thing that the Craigslist software does is monitor your email address when posting. Post over 2 to 3 ads from the same address and your ad may not appear. The Craigslist advertisers in the know, will get up to 100 free email addresses from Gmail.com, then rotate these addresses when posting. After using the email addresses for a week or two, they cancel their email accounts and get different ones.

I hope that you visit Craigslist.org to find out what it is all about. I know you will be very surprised to find that a free advertising medium like this exists.

4 Questions You Should Ask Your Potential SEO Firm Before Hiring Them

You have decided that hiring an SEO firm is a good idea for your website and your company, but around every corner is a firm, or individual, pretending to know all there is know on the subject. There are scams, black hat practices and frauds everywhere. It seems as if there are more of those than of genuine SEO experts.

How can you tell the difference? The answer is simple. Ask the hard questions and gauge their answers.

What type of Search Campaign does your firm prefer?

Ask the company if they do Paid Search or Natural Search optimization. The major differences are, a paid search should include a huge variety of key phrases, even numbering into the hundreds. A Natural Search is much narrower and focuses on a small number of effective key phrases. Your SEO firm should be able to do to both.

The SEO firm will set up a Paid Search campaign to gauge which keywords or phrases are targeted the most as regards your site and then they will focus their efforts on those select keywords or phrases for the Natural Search campaign.

Unfortunately, many times, firms skip the Paid Search Campaign because it is more profitable for them. In a Paid Search Campaign, much of the client's money will go to Google or Yahoo to pay for the campaign, leaving little for the firm, itself.

The only time a firm should skip the Paid Search phase is if the client's site is a narrow niche that has only a few, well targeted keywords or phrases that are appropriate to that site.

Not only should the potential firm be willing to perform both tasks, they need to make certain that the keyword or key phrase campaign is in keeping with the goals of the website. If the client's goal it to generate leads, then the keywords and phrases should reflect that goal. If the client's goal is to generate sales, the campaign should keep that in mind.

Does your firm perform SEO copy writing?

SEO copy writing is the creation of website content that is written to attract the attention of search engines. If you have seen a site with a phrase that is repeated over and over, you have likely seen a page that has been created by an SEO specialist.

The downside is these pages do not go over well with humans.

The key is finding a happy medium, which is keeping your keyword and/or phrase density to about 17 to 20 percent and to make the sentences and paragraphs sound natural. Because the algorithm changes frequently for search engines, this will keep any SEO firm busy by making frequent site changes to keep up.

Your chosen firm should not be shy about making site content changes without loosing focus of your over all business goal.

What about link building?

This process is extremely important to raise rankings with Google, who gets about 65% of all search business, and somewhat important to Yahoo and MSN, the next two most popular search engines.

Make certain your potential SEO firm engages in sufficient link building efforts. This is done by creating links to your site in a number of ways: blogging and social site are just the beginning. A good SEO will write articles and post those articles to sites such as ezineArticles.com or Helium.com. This creates a link back to your site. These articles can then be posted other locations, such as blogs. If the system works well for you, someone else will find the article and post it to their site or blog, giving you an unsolicited link back to your site.

The problem is this method takes a long time (sometimes 2 to 3 months) for real results to be seen. The solution is to purchase links. Care should be taken to link to only reputable sites and not to link farms which sell links simply to make money for themselves. The more inbound links your site has, the better your rankings will be.

What keyword or phrase will be used to show my rankings?

It is a fact that if you do a search for an article by that article's title, it will show up as #1 in page rankings. If you search for the page's URL, it will be #1 because there is only one site with that URL. The real test of your SEO firm is if they can raise your rankings via a keyword or phrase that is a popular key word or phrase and not something so narrow that you are the only one who will have that particular search phrase. What are the odds that someone will do a search for "Four Questions You Should Ask Your Potential SEO Firm Before Hiring Them?"

The firm should focus on the keyword or phrase that will accomplish what your company is hoping to accomplish.

Real Estate Marketing Strategies: The Biggest Mistake Real Estate Agents Make And How You Can Avoid

THE BIG MISTAKE:

The market is so slow and I don't even know where my next sale is coming from.

How often have you heard someone say that when business is down and the economy is questionable? It seems logical, doesn't it, to tighten your purse strings?

What! Are you suggesting that I should invest in my business now?

Even though it seems logical to tighten up and constrict spending, it is actually based on a scarcity mindset. In a scarcity mindset you focus on lack in your business, and on lack in outer conditions and the market.

The result is a constriction in the flow of energy to your business. In fact, when you focus your thoughts on lack in your business, you have a problem even before you begin. Hence, THE BIG MISTAKE.

Are you constricting the flow of energy to your business? Here are some signs to watch out for:

1. What are your thoughts?

  • I don't have enough clients
  • My competitors are stealing business
  • I can't succeed in today's market
  • Here's an example that contains a scarcity mindset:

There are so many new agents entering the business there isn't enough business to go around. Maybe I should just get a real job.

Have you ever had that thought?

    2. What emotions do you experience?

  • Fear
  • Stress
  • Struggle
  • Anxiety
  • Worry
  • Any of the thoughts above are likely to create the emotions of worry, fear and doubt. You find yourself dwelling in these negative feelings that will prevent you from attracting to your business and the very things you desire, such as more clients and more income. Your thoughts create your reality. Therefore, if you focus on what you don't want, like the lack of money, you'll get more of that.

    3. ACTIONS

When you're stuck in a scarcity mindset, not only does it affect your thoughts and feelings, but also your actions. For example, I was going to take the weekend off, but now I better not. Business is slow and I don't want to miss a call from a prospective client.

Do you see how this is a scarcity mindset? What is the person missing out on? If you said self-care and self maintenance, then you are right. This is one of the actions that goes by the wayside when you're focusing on scarcity. You're simply afraid that you won't have enough so you ignore the importance of taking care of yourself.

So what is the big mistake?

The big mistake is that you are focusing your thoughts on outward circumstances, like the economy, to determine your mindset. If the economy is down you are down. Stephen Covey calls this the reactive mindset. You believe that you are acted upon, rather than being proactive and there is a constriction of energy to your business.

When you are proactive, you don't focus on what the economy or the market is doing, you are coming from an internal state of prosperity consciousness. You don't look to outer conditions to determine your state of mind, you determine your own state of mind by your thoughts, emotions and actions. In essence you create the mindset of being the deliberate creator of your life.

    The solution:

If the mindset is the problem, then how do you switch to a more positive mindset?

    1. Commit to building a prosperity mindset

A prosperity mindset is not something you are born with, it's not in your genes; its something that you develop through practice. Think of it as a muscle that you exercise. The more you exercise it, the stronger that muscle becomes.

It's the same with prosperity mindset. Successful people have one thing in common they believe in their own success and their ability to attract money into their life. They look for opportunities and find them... everywhere. Why? Because they had an internal prosperity consciousness and they focused on that state of looking at external conditions.

    2. Adopt the beliefs of success

It's easy to adopt a successful mindset - it's just a shift in focus from scarcity to prosperity. The way you make that shift is to have a set of beliefs that are congruent and prosperous thinking. For example, Walt Disney once said, All of our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them.

Here are the beliefs of successful people:

  • Change is to be embraced because it represents more opportunity for growth and expansion.
  • Determine what you want, and assume you'll get it. Don't worry about the how.
  • There is an answer and solution to every challenge.
  • Discomfort is part of charting the unknown.
  • Obstacles will not stop them from attaining what they want.
  • Money needs to flow in order to grow.
  • You'll notice that if you practice the beliefs above, you will experience positive emotions that expand the flow of energy to your business.

    3. Be clear on what you want

How can the universe give you what you want unless you are clear about what you want? A challenge for you here is to break the want barrier. Accept the fact that it is not only appropriate and proper, but critical, for you to want anything, of any kind, to any degree.

The main thing is to be clear about what you want for your business. I hear too many people saying, I want to be successful without even knowing what success means to them. I suggest visualizing your ideal professional life in 12 months from today. See yourself doing work you love and noticing approximately how many hours a week you're working. Ask yourself what kind of people you want to be interacting with. Who are your ideal clients? Are they motivated, decisive and respectful of you and your service to them? What is your income in 12 months from today? How much are you making per year or per month?

    4. Clear away any opposing beliefs

When you think about your ideal professional life, what beliefs do have that are opposing your vision? Here are some beliefs that I hear on a continual basis when people are honest with me about discussing their blocks to success:

I like doing my work, I'm just not good at marketing. (Remember, it's only a belief)

I'm really not smart enough or energetic enough to achieve what I want. (Remember, it's only a belief)

The real estate market is so tough right now that I can't possibly make the income I was hoping for. (Remember, it's only a belief)

    5. Take inspired action not frantic action

What kind of action are you taking? Are you taking action because you're afraid? If you are, your action may be frantic action rather than inspired action.

What is inspired action? Inspired action comes from your intuition and listening to your gut instincts. You follow your heart, you follow your hunches; you don't wait for someone to hand you a formula because there is none.

You will know if youre taking inspired action by the way you feel by the results you are getting. Youll be feeling relaxed and confident and the results that you will be getting will be one or more of the following:

  • Increased clientele
  • Increased income
  • Increased passion for your work
  • As a review, remember to avoid THE BIG MISTAKE by being conscious of what you focus on.

Dont let the outer conditions determine your mindset. Keep a mindset of prosperity and practice the beliefs of successful people. Keep remembering to expand the flow of energy to your business, whatever the market is doing.

When times seem tough, it is especially important to stay away from a scarcity mindset. Instead, go within and look for the opportunities for new ways to market yourself from a prosperity mindset.

The Brilliant Way To Increase Your Traffic, Subscribers And Profits!

If you want to promote your website with a cost effective method, build your list of highly targeted subscribers and gain lifetime traffic, then article marketing is exactly what you need.

This method will increase your monthly profits and boost your subscription rates.

    How does article marketing work?

The first thing you need to do is to write an article about your niche. Once you are done, you need to find free article directories that accept articles from authors who want to promote themselves and their business.

Find a couple of those sites and take a habit to submit one article every day. It can be in the morning or the evening. Whatever time is better for you.

    How will you gain traffic?

Traffic to your website will come via different sources. Most of them will come from the article directory itself. Others will land on your article via search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

But that's not all. Many webmasters come to these sites to reprint the articles on their websites. In fact, if you search for your title in quotes with the search engines, you will find that there are several results after a few short months.

This will considerably increase the number of backlinks to your website, and your web pages will raise in the search engines. You will get direct traffic from the search engines.

And one of the best sources of traffic are ezine owners. Some of them will download your articles if they like them, and they may send one of them to their lists.

How you will make more sales?

It's up to your to monetize this highly targeted traffic with a solid marketing funnel.

Article Marketing - The Cold, Ultimate Truth About Article Marketing

The myth of autopilot income from articles is truly a myth. I know I'm going to receive a ton of flak for this, but there's no such thing as truly automated income from article marketing. The reason for that is this: articles lose some of their traffic generation power after some time, you'll have to keep pumping them out to keep your profits coming in. Information is growing exponentially online; if you don't continuously release new content, your traffic will drop.

It's also not good enough to submit five to ten articles a month. Many article marketers simply submit a number of articles similar to that and stop. Totally. They don't see results and they give up! Five to ten articles will never create hundreds of visitors to your websites, you have to be pumping them out in the hundreds to see any "real" traffic.

Go to sites like Ezine Articles. The top writers churn out hundreds and thousands of articles and they are doing it for a reason. Because it works. It works in generating traffic, and it's also a great branding tool. Having hundreds of articles out there is a great credibility weapon.

I don't care if you are marketing affiliate products, an ecommerce store, an eBay store, or selling your own digital products. Article marketing works, but only if you work it. Most people give it a try and declare that it doesn't work. Maybe they are too lazy to write the articles. Well, if you have a bundle of extra cash, you can certainly outsource the articles. But if you don't, you'll just have to keep churning them out. The rewards will be totally amazing.

Article Marketing Insights by a Real Article Marketer

Article Marketing Insights by a Real Article Marketer

Dont take offense to that if you are a real article marketer. And I will let you determine what a real article marketer is.

But one of the things I have observed online is that there are roughly 100 people or less who make a full time income online using article marketing. I call them real article marketers. Then there are people who are actually article marketing, but just do it part time and I dont know the number of this group.

But I can tell you this. At the time you are reading this, I have over 1300 articles published online, and all of them are set up in such a way that I get traffic to my web site from them every single day.

The articles are my lifeblood they drive the traffic that makes me a living.

In the process of writing and publishing 1300 articles, I have developed some insights. The first insight is that there are two purposes to article marketing.

One purpose is that of generating backlinks to your web site. To do that you need to write a few articles and submit them to hundreds of article directories.

The other purpose of article directories is to write multiple articles and submit them to a few directories, the top few directories in terms of traffic.

Another insight I have had is that you cannot accurately measure article marketing results after 20 articles, or even 100 articles. I have been article marketing for over 8 months now, and I still get traffic from the very first articles I published over 8 months ago. This means that there is a cumulative effect of time on my articles. If I had measured the success of my articles that first month I would have only been measuring 1/8 of the total time that my article is online. And if I try to do a complete measurement right now, I would only get half of the result that I will if I measure in another 8 months. What about 5 years from now?

It is impossible for me to even imagine the total impact of my articles after 5 years on the internet.

Article Marketing - Is Spending Money On Articles Worth It?

Let's say you are in a hypothetical situation. You have $1000 to spend on your Internet business to build it up from scratch. Where do you begin?

A disclaimer before we begin: This is how I would do it. It might not apply to your situation and it might not even work for you. But this is what I would do and it is what I'm doing right now.

Here's my plan: I would spend the $100 to get 300 fresh, original articles written for about $3 each. That will generate traffic for years to come.

I will then purchase an autoresponder membership with either Aweber or Get Response. Those two are the best in the business. This will allow me to build a follow-up system via email marketing.

Let's face it: we write articles for directories to get traffic. And traffic equals a thriving business if you have a good system built in. That system can be an email follow-up system, and it's one of the most profitable systems around.

Having the email address of your potential customer is worth gold. If they subscribe to your list, it gives you the permission to follow-up with them with relevant information and related offers of your own products or for affiliate products.

So that's how I would spend my money. Spending money on articles is definitely worth it, if you submit them consistently, have fresh articles out there all the time, and have a good follow-up system to follow-up with your visitors. This is the proven system I use day in and day out, and it has reaped dividends for me.

Internet Article Marketing - Why Is It Better? Here's The Simple Mathematics

Are you trying to make money online? Whether you have products of your own, or you are trying to make money selling affiliate products, article marketing is a sure way to drive targeted traffic to your site. It's simple really, the more articles that you write, the more traffic you are going to get. We know that article marketing's natural selective process prequalifies your prospects. The prospect is qualified, simply because as they choose to progress toward your site, each step indicates an increase in their level of interest.

There is a limited number of ways that a person can come across your article. One, they could just stumble across it by chance. Two, they could find your article listed on a page of a search engine. Three, they could be sent or directed to the article by an ezine or RSS (Real Simple Syndication): some type of subscription or update notification.

Regardless of how they come across the article, it requires some level of choice to read the article, and even more if they finish reading the article. Let's call this qualification number one. They say that of the people who read the article, one to three percent chooses to click the link and visit the website or blog. We'll call this qualification level number two.

After going through the information on your site, this is qualification number three; five to 15 percent of these visitors will make a purchase if you have a decent sales letter and follow up system. This is much better than the one to five percent of people that buy after arriving at your site being lead by some other form of marketing. Thus the reason that article marketing is considered one of the most effective forms of marketing on the Internet.

Search Engine Optimisation Services Specialist Discusses What Is Search Engine Optimisation Part 24

Details have been given about all the various SEO techniques such as writing good original keyword specific press releases, articles, forum posts and blog posts, but we still need to get to the real core meaning of what search engine optimisation is and what it can do for business and how it can affect your business if you do not know anything about it. So let us discuss what it is and also what it is not.

What is SEO? SEO is an art. This means that you need to think at all times of all different kinds of keywords and keyword phrases to satisfy the needs of the search engine spiders. You need to think like a search engine spider. You need to learn how to do this in order to get your websites listed on the first page of the Google search engine. As an example, let us assume that you are promoting a website about leads. The term leads is a billion dollar industry.

If you do intensive research you will find the same result. Companies or people that are on the first page of the Google search engine for the keyword term 'leads' are in it for the money. There is no doubt about that. The company holding the number one position has been holding the 'leads' top spot ranking for a long time. If you start an SEO campaign promoting your 'leads' website and eventually also get listed on the first page of Google, the effort of consistently posting content, titles and original content about the keyword 'leads' will land you in the 'leads' search category of around two hundred million search results.

How do you get the search term 'leads' to the first page of Google? It is not a great secret. It is not a mystery. It is an art to get it here. You will have to work at this art to perfect it as much as possible and to be successful using it. This is not something that will just pop up automatically without you putting effort into it to make sure that it works.

Big Guide Through On Page SEO Factors - Part 3

    Keywords in meta tag keywords

Meta tag keywords should contain a few most important keywords related to particular page. Every keyword listed in this tag should appear in the page content. Don't try to repeat single keyword, it can be considered spam. Some search engines including Google no longer values this tag. Anyway you lose nothing if you use it. I will use again the example with web hosting website. The good keywords tag can be: web, hosting, company, php, mysql (if you offer PHP and MySQL support, of course).

    Keywords in alt tags

What are alt tags? Try to move mouse pointer over any image on some website. If some text will appear near the mouse pointer, it is the alt tag content. The original purpose of alt tags was to describe the images for users which use browser which doesn't display images. In these days, alt tags can be useful for better images description and as an alternative text which is used in case that the images is not loaded.

If your site contains any images which display something what can be described by your keywords, always use these keywords in your alt tags. But never use keywords which have nothing to do with the image. That can be consider cheating and your site may be penalized.

    Keywords in the website text

Use your keywords naturally in the text. Nobody can tell you the ideal keyword density but from my experience 3 - 10 % is fine. Most SEO consultants believe that there is no fixed ideal density. More likely the ideal density depends on the site topic. Anyway if you will write your website content naturally you will probably hit the mark.

If possible, use H1, H2 etc. tags. The most important keywords should appear in the H1 tag, H2 (H3, H4... if applicable) tags should contain more specific keywords related to the paragraph below these headings. Important keywords can be highlighted using STRONG or EM tags. STRONG tag makes bold the text and EM creates italic text. I suggest to use these tags instead B and I tags. The visual effect of these tags is the same but text in STRONG and EM tags are considered important by search engines.

    Keywords in anchor text

Anchor text are the words in links. This is one of the most important on page factor. Every link in your menu usually consists of one, two or thee words. These words should exactly describe the content of the target page. In our example with web hosting company, there can be links in site navigation like "Web Hosting Plans", "Domain Names" etc.

Sometimes happen that you need more words to describe the target page content but the design of your website doesn't allow larger text. The solution can be the link title which is displayed when the visitor moves mouse pointer over the link. Here is an example: A HREF="domain.html" TITLE="Domain name registration or domain name transfer".

In the last part of this article, part 4, I will show you how to improve your website navigation structure and reveal some secrets about site age and its SEO effect.

Website Traffic - Why Article Marketing Blows Away Pay-Per-Click Marketing

It's always great to compare traffic generation strategies because you can tell which strategy is giving you results and which isn't. Or maybe both strategies may be giving you results but you want to know which is more effective in generating qualified prospects.

Two of the most popular traffic generation methods online today are article marketing and pay-per-click marketing. This article won't talk about what both methods are (there are already tons of articles on that) but will compare the two to see which strategy you should invest your efforts in.

Personally, for me, article marketing blows pay-per-click marketing out of the water. Pay-per-click marketing consists of Google's Adwords and Yahoo's Search Marketing, so that's no small statement I'm making. Well, there's a reason why I say article marketing is more effective.

Let's say that you spend $10 a day on Adwords. That's $300 a month. Now take that $300 and spend it on 100 articles written by a freelancer. Those 100 articles will bring you traffic for a long time, whereas your Adwords traffic was a temporary thing. And prospects generated from articles are way more responsive!

You'll often people willing to spend crazy amounts for cost per click on Adwords, but you won't find that many 'insane' competitors in article marketing. Although the competition has grown massively in recent years, it is still nothing compared to pay-per-click marketing.

And that's why I say article marketing trumps over Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, or any other pay-per-click network. If you don't want to write, outsource your articles. You'll see some terrific results from this marketing strategy if you do it right.
