Are You Using This Great Way To Get Your Business Noticed Online?

It has been said that the pen is mightier then the sword. If that is the case then why are you not using what could be the most powerful item to get noticed online?

When we started our website, we were not much different than anyone else out there. Our website went live and we worked to get all of our customers. One way we did this was work with other web sites that were similar in nature to ours and agreed to write articles for them.

These articles we wrote helped us build our customer base online and gave us the ability to get our expertise out there in written word on the world wide web.

Are you an expert in something? What does your company specialize in? Answer those two questions and start writing about them. To get noticed online give people what they want to read, information, and web site partners what they crave, content.

You should write about one article per week. If you have the time to write more that`s great, but once a week will do. Create partnerships with other websites that could use your content. For example, my friend runs a rental property repair business. He writes about an article a week on how to handle the small repairs, and other things of that nature. His content can be found on real estate investors, investment clubs, and landlord web sites and so on.

You get the point. After he writes his articles he then emails them to his contact and they do the rest. They post it on their website; even email it to their members in their newsletters.

Your article should be 500 to 100 words in length. Any shorter and it won`t be taken serious, any longer and no one will read it because it will be too long and take up too much space on your partner`s web site.

Your article should be informational. In other words it shouldn't be 500 words on why they should use your service or buy your product, but 500 words on what you are an expert at with some statistics if possible.

Finally, after the article is complete add an "About the Author" section where you tell people who you are and how they can get in touch with you. You can see an example of this in our own article here.

Articles published on the correct web sites will greatly improve your popularity online for your business and web site. The best part it only costs you some time.

Article Marketing - Are Article Submission Services The Real Deal?

If you do any type of article marketing, you may heard of article submission services that promise to blast your article out to 10,000-50,000 publishers. Of course, many of the publishers are not really legitimate publishers, and hardly any receive any traffic. Most of these article submission services are pretty costly to use, so it might not really justify for the payoff.

In fact, only a few hundred article directories on the web receive any significant amount of traffic. Thus, youll not really be getting the best bang for your buck, or return on investment. Youd be better off spending the money on Pay Per Click campaigns.

Another problem that exists is that your email inbox will often be flooded with announcements of new articles being submitted. In effect, you end up being one of the tens of thousands of publishers that articles are being blasted to. You could easily receive hundreds of emails a day and your inbox will be continuously full.

The only one advantage of using some article submission service is that youll build tons of backlinks from your articles posted to the legitimate sites, which are very useful for search engine optimization purposes. However, it has been well documented that adding hundreds of backlinks at a single go may raise alarm bells at the search engines. Their spiders will get suspicious over how you went from creating zero backlinks the day before, to having a sudden boost of hundreds of backlinks. As a result, your search engine ranking could actually suffer!

How to Increase Your Web Site Link Popularity

Link popularity is without doubt one of the most important aspects of a search engine ranking algorithm - this variable tells the search engine how many web sites out there are linking to your web site, which gives a really good indication of how popular or important your site is.

Your web site NEEDS links, it can't survive at the top of the search engine rankings without them. In this article I am going to explain how anyone can get good quality links for their web site, without paying for them...

Link building for your web site is not technically difficult, it just requires some time and dedication to do the job properly. If you don't have the time and discipline to do the job right, I strongly suggest hiring someone - WCR Internet Marketing provides this service in some of their Web Marketing plans.

I recommend only looking for links from sites that are related to your site. If you can't determine a relationship between your site and theirs, move along, there are plenty more sites out there that are more relevant!

Always remember why you have a web site - you want people to find your site useful, so make sure you are only linking to useful, relevant content. Think about this - if a surfer is browsing a site about rebuilding a car engine, they aren't likely to find a mortgage broker link very useful, are they? Stick to linking amongst relevant sites, and I guarantee you that in the long term your site will benefit greatly.

This is the 6 Step process we use when building links for clients:

1) Determine what sort of links you want.

This is extremely important. The types of links that you're looking for are industry specific. If you have a web site that is focussed on the rebuilding of car engines, you will be looking for links in the automotive or car related areas in directories. If you are selling electrical contracting services, you will want to look for regional listings or general business listings to find possible links.

2) Find your source of links.

So we're looking for links that are relevant to your web site. The best place to source your links are directories such as DMOZ. Go to a directory, browse through to a category that suits your site (a lot of the time there will be more than one suitable category) and you will see a whole lot of other relevant sites, perfect for sourcing quality links. Try the directories below, they should keep you going for a while:

http://directory.google.com
http://directory.yahoo.com
http://dmoz.org

3) Determine whether or not a site is relevant.

It's time to start visiting web sites. Have a look at each site one by one to see if a link to your site would realistically fit in. A webmaster isn't likely to want to change the structure of their site just to add a link to you, so if you don't think you're going to fit in, close the site and move along to the next. If you think you have a chance of getting linked, move on to the next step.

4) Determine where on the site your link would fit best.

If it's a directory that you're browsing through, find the most appropriate category for your site. If it's just a web site, have a look for a links page or any other pages that have links or might be suitable to have links on it.

5) Submit your site.

If it's a directory that you're on, once you are in the appropriate category for your web site, look around the page for a place to submit your site. Quite often you will find something like "Add URL", "Submit your site" or "Add a link" etc. Use this link to submit your site.

If you're on a relevant web site and there is no "Add URL" function, you will need to find an email address for the webmaster. Keep in mind that when emailing the webmaster, always personalize your request - don't just copy and paste a template to thousands of different webmasters - that's a sure way to have your request sent straight to the recycle bin.

Take the time to look around for a name, it won't always be available, but when it is - use it. Let the webmaster know where you think it might be suitable to have a link to your site and let him know if you are happy to reciprocate the link. At the end of the day, the easier you make it for them, and the more polite your request is, the more likely you are to end up with a link.

6) Document all of your work.

I can't stress this point enough, it is absolutely the most important part of any link building campaign. Create a Word document with all your site information in it (Title, Description, URL). Also in this Word document, have a few email templates prepared for different scenarios - I know I said don't use templates, but you don't have to type out every request every time you want to ask for a link - make up a template that you can fill out specific information on like the web site address, where you would like your link to be placed etc.

Make sure you also document each individual link request you make - every time you ask someone for a link, write it down in your Word document. That way, at a later date, you can go through the list and check who is linking to you and who isn't.

In Closing

Remember to be patient and keep your eye out for new potential links. Improving your web site link popularity won't send your web site straight to the top of the search engine rankings, but it will help you in the long term. If you plan on building a successful web site over a number of years, a properly organized link building campaign will do you the world of good. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Bum Marketing - An Easy Article Marketing Strategy

Many people come onto the Internet, looking for a marketing advantage and a way to make some easy money. The fact of the matter is, there really isn't such a thing as easy money and there certainly isn't a free lunch when it comes to marketing on the Internet. However...

That doesn't mean that you aren't able to make money with a little bit of effort. As a matter of fact, if you know a few methods, you can begin making money in a short period of time, provided you are willing to put in some sweat time.

One of the easiest ways that there is for you to make money on the Internet, especially if you're starting out is through a process that is popularly known as bum marketing. Many people consider this to be a new and innovative way to make money on the Internet but the fact of the matter is, it has actually been around for a very long time.

The good news about this is that it is easy for a beginner to pick up and it will work for a very long time into the future. That is because it is based on some very solid internet marketing tactics.

Bum marketing is actually just a catchphrase for article marketing but it is supposed to be so easy that even a bum off of the street will be able to do it for themselves. There are three parts to bum marketing that you need to know. Aside from those three things, you can learn as much as you want but if you take care of the first three things, you will be successful with your marketing efforts.

The first thing that you need to understand is keyword selection. There are plenty of places on the Internet where you can find out what people are typing into the search engines whenever they do their research. By choosing keywords that are specifically related to the offer that you choose, you can drive some very targeted traffic to your website. Trying to choose keyword phrases that are three or more words long, otherwise known as longtail phrases and you will have less difficulty in ranking well for these keywords.

The second thing that you need to know is how to check for competition. Although there are many different ways that you can do this, one of the easiest is by going to Google and typing in the keyword phrase inside quotes. This will give you a fairly accurate picture of how many pages you are competing against. Most people will use a keyword phrase if it has less than 50,000 competing web pages.

Finally, you need to write the article and use this keyword phrase in both the title and the body of the article. Don't over do it or you will be penalized for keyword stuffing. Submit the article along with a link back to your website to the article directories, including EzineArticles.com. Within a short period of time, you will start to get traffic to your website. If you did things properly, the sales will follow.

If you're serious about making money online with article marketing or bum marketing, you need to study more on the subject as there's more to it than writing articles. It involves marketing strategies as well since you need to market those articles so that many people will read them. The good news is, the strategies are easy to grasp once you know how and it's relatively quick to make a profit.

Three Things to Know Before Submitting Your Articles Anywhere

You will find a number of my articles scattered across the internet in more than 150 Article Directories. They have been viewed by thousands of readers, republished, and even emailed to friends of the readers. The benefit has been free information for my readers and traffic to my various blogs and websites. Feel free to copy my formula.

Submitting articles to directories like this one is a major form of information-based marketing. We have had information-based marketing for many years via direct mail. It's one of the oldest and most effective techniques to reach targeted prospects and convert those prospects into buyers. Now, with the internet, the new form of direct mail has become article marketing. Article writing and directory submissions have made the difference for many websites and blogs. Where they once starved for traffic, they now have a steady flow thanks to article marketing.

The directories also benefit because of increased traffic from search engines. People who Google or Yahoo for a specific topic are likely to find many directories from which to choose that have the content they seek.

There are many tools to make the process of writing and distributing articles easily but this article is not about those, it's about how you can become an effective article marketer. It's about the mistakes you need to avoid as you start out.

Mistake 1. Writing with the wrong motives.

There are three obvious benefits to article marketing - branding, lead generation, and promotion of your website or blog. But there should be only one overwhelming motive for writing an article - to provide free and helpful information to your reader.

If the article is not focused on this primary and most important motive, it will fail to achieve the three benefits because your insincerity will be obvious. Readers are quick to perceive your self-serving purpose. How do you get people to read what is in your article, then click on your link in your resource box? Give them valuable information for free and invite them to get more by clicking your link.

Mistake 2. Failing to take advantage of article marketing as a promotional tool.

The link in your Author Box can help you generate additional links back to your site but you may not know that you can get more visitors and better search engine results from that same article.

When writing, don't forget to insert your keywords at strategic places in the article. One at the beginning, one or two in the middle and one near the end is sufficient. You should also use anchor text in your Author Box link when the directory allows html. Out of the 185 directories I submit articles to, 21 do not allow anchor text. They do allow a standard URL to link back to your website or blog.

If you take the extra time to write quality content and use keywords and/or anchor text in your articles, your articles might get picked up by publishers with a large number of readers thus further expanding your possibilities for traffic back to you. This also results in better search engine placement because of the number of links back to you from sites outside the article directory.

If you have something to sell, that increase in traffic will put money in your pocket

Mistake 3. Publishing content that is mediocre or that attempts to redirect your reader to a sales page.

If you think that you can write and submit any drivel and you will automatically get links back to your site, think again.

Nearly all article directories are human-edited which means a real person will read your article. If it's drivel, they will reject it. Do that a few times and they will blacklist you. It's very important that you read the submission guidelines to avoid rejection or blacklisting. Play by the rules and you will reap the three benefits. Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically.

When you write and submit good stuff you raise your chances of reaching hundreds, perhaps thousands of readers overnight. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to republish your good stuff. Write articles that you, yourself, would publish. I cannot tell you how many articles I reject for my blogs because they are self-serving drivel but it's about 99%!

Mistake 4. Submitting illiterate articles.

This is a big one. Just recently I had a spell of "writers' arrogance" and did not take the time for spelling and grammar checks. Six of my articles were rejected!

Look, how hard is it to do a spell check and follow basic rules of good grammar? Before you submit, check and recheck for mistakes. Editors will quickly reject your article if it doesn't meet the basics or that makes you look like you only made it through the 5th grade. I use the spell and grammar check functions built into Microsoft Word.

In the end, it's all up to you to do it the right way. Put your readers first and the benefits to you - second - and you will soon be spread all over the web.

Article Seo Software

Effective link building is essential for a website to have success in achieving a higher search engine ranking on major engines like google and yahoo. Most people will go about doing link building by making use of submissions to relevant categories on the many hundreds of search engine friendly directories available on the internet. But how many people know how important it is to have your website linked to pages of rich content? I am referring to article seo.

Article marketing is a great new way of obtaining high quality backlinks to your website. It is so important for search engine ranking reasons to write articles which contain a link to your website on them. This is due to the fact that the search engine bots are constantly crawling websites and article directories looking for new fresh content. So if your article is rich with keywords related to your niche, you can imagine how it will improve your ranking over time.Make sure that when you write articles you use anchor text for your link. The anchor text should be a competitive keyword in your niche.

But there's just one hassle.Having to submit your articles manually one by one to individual article directories can be tiresome. It can also be very expensive to pay somebody to do these article submissions for you, unless you are able to strike a really lucky deal. Having said this, you should try making use of semi automated article submission software packages which can help you sign up and submit to article directories with your ready stored information.

If you would like to find out more about article submission software please visit this website below.

Article Marketing For Profit - How To Build Your Article Marketing Portfolio

When building your article portfolio, it is important to design something that is easy to manage, and also highlights your writing skills in a positive way. Everything from the fonts you choose to how people navigate the site can mean the difference between a sale and a visitor that simply leaves your site.

To begin, you can start uploading your portfolio onto any number of free web hosting service provider sites. If at all possible, you will want to test the finished page from a dial-up server connection to see if the page loads quickly. You will also be able to learn what kinds of popups or other advertisements will greet your potential customer. It may take signing up for several sites before you find one suitable for your needs. On the other hand, you may simply want to purchase webspace and a domain name.

Next, you will want to consider how potential customers will navigate through your site. If you are not a web designer, and do not want to work with HTML, you can hire someone to build the site for you. That said, it is important to choose colors and fonts that will be comfortable for your reader.

When it comes to writing the actual articles, it is Ok to start with just one or two per day. As you develop your skills, you will probably want to take down some items, and put up other ones. In this way, you will also have time to work on articles for your customers, without sacrificing the long term benefits you expect to achieve from having a portfolio.

Search Engine Optimisation Services Specialist Discusses Website SEO - Part 7

Everything you write and place onto the internet creates a link. You are adding information to a website by writing content. That content in that submission company's service creates a link which contains the information pointing to your website. The spiders see this as direct content, as the content is discussing and promoting your website. This is critical to effective and successful search engine optimisation. Hand submit that link to the Google search engine.

Hand submit every link you create to the Google search engine. Then place each of those links on a link building website on the internet. This builds a huge number of back links pointing to all the websites that you are promoting. What you want to do SEO wise is write keyword specific titles, meta tags and content to build links which you hand submit to the Google search engine and then place all those links onto your link building website.

You do not have to build flashy and 'eye appealing' or cosmetic websites. Websites are about producing and showing good information for your readers. They come to your website, to obtain information. Not to join your business because you have a flashy website. This is another important search engine optimisation technique to never forget. Anyhow, the Google search engine spiders do not spider the images. They look for original content and links and not for "flash".

Creating good clean crisp original content is one of the critical keys to SEO effectiveness and success. The other critical factors are linking and creating back links. Join any one of the many link building systems on the internet for free to store your links as you create them. Hand submit the url of this link building website to Google every day as well.

Writing Press Releases for Search Engine Optimisation

Press releases have some unique characteristics that can contribute to an increase in search engine positioning for your site. They are similar in many ways to pages that use search engine copywriting techniques. They have a narrow focus, include copy that deals with one specific topic, incorporate the use of key phrases and use keyword-rich headlines. Usually, people either do not like or do not have the time to read poorly written content. Therefore, when you are writing an optimised press release, it is essential that you write with concise language, correct grammar and credibility. Besides increasing readership, you will make the search engines very happy, which is exactly what you are looking for!

Press releases incorporate each of the elements used with good search engine copywriting, which make them the perfect addition to your site. Because search engine spiders follow links, you will have to open a door from your home page to the section of your site that houses the press releases so your web pages displaying the releases will be picked by the Search Engines.

As well as adding Press releases to your site, you should consider posting them to specific press releases websites.

Newsworthy press releases that are optimised with keyword-rich content are invaluable to your business. If properly optimised, press releases add the potential for increased traffic to your site from clients searching for your product and business, provide improved rankings overall and in News search engines, and increase your chances of additional press. They may even enhance backlinks (also called inbound links) to you website. Press releases also increase your brand awareness.

Another use of press releases is linked with inbound links and link building. When you submit your press releases to those websites, think of leaving your URL somewhere and even better, add some anchor text links in your press release on target keywords that would link back to your site, thus helping your site to achieve better positions and get more traffic.

Page Rank Purgatory - Simple Things You can Do to Keep Your Web Site Out of Search Engine Hell!

Are Meta Tags Really Dead?

Right in their Guidelines Yahoo Tells You that Meta-Tags are Not Totally Dead and Buried

(The Below Information was Taken Directly From the Yahoo Help File http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/basics/basics-18.html)

Pages Yahoo! Wants Included in its Index

  • Original and unique content of genuine value
  • Pages designed primarily for humans, with search engine considerations secondary
  • Hyperlinks intended to help people find interesting, related content, when applicable
  • Metadata (including title and description) that accurately describes the contents of a web page
  • Good web design in general

Right in their Guidelines Yahoo States "Metadata (including title and description) that accurately describes the contents of a web page." By Title MetaData they mean the text between the title and /title Tags in the header section of your HTML Page. By Description Yahoo mean the actual Meta Tag Name="Description" in the same header section. So Meta Data at least as Far as Yahoo is Concerned is Not Dead.

Let's Examine Some of the Key Points that Yahoo states are important in their help file and see how we can employ some simple methods to meet Yahoo's Guideline.

Original and unique content of genuine value

Yahoo is looking for well written Keyword rich Content that has useful information. Concentrate on 1 Keyword or Keyword Phrase per Web Page. If You web Page is less then 500 Words use a Keyword Density of about 2-3%. If your Web Page is Above 500 Words Use a Keyword Density of About 5%. Try to Keep your Web Pages under 750 Words.

Pages designed primarily for humans, with search engine considerations secondary

Yahoo and Google are working hard to get rid of those Robotic Page Writers. Your pages should be fairly well written, It is OK to Optimize for search engines as long as your content is Human Engineered Well.

Hyperlinks intended to help people find interesting, related content, when applicable

Try and have 3 or 4 Links to closely related Content. It is ok to link to other web Pages within in your site but 1 or 2 external links should be mixed in when Possible. Make sure you use your Keyword or Phrase in the Anchor text for the Links.

Metadata (including title and description) that accurately describes the contents of a web page

Your Title and Description Meta Data Should Accurately reflect your web page Content. Every web page from your site should have unique Title and Description Meta Data. Both Title and description Meta Data should use your target Keywords and Keyword Phrases for the Web Page. Don't use the same keyword or keyword phrase directly next to each other in your Title or Description Metadata.

Title Meta Data

Keep your Title less then 80 Characters if at all possible. Place your Title Meta Data First (Firectly below the Head Tag. Place the exact same Title at the very top of your Web Page Preferably inside an H1 /H1 Tag.

Description Meta Data

The Description Meta Tag should appear directly under the Title Meta Data. Keep your Descriptions between 100 and 150 Characters if possible. Your Keyword Density in your Description should be about 10%. Make sure your Description accurately reflects your web page. Where possible the text in your description Meta Data should actually appear Word for Word near the Top of your Web Page.

A description of your website

A resource box (always remember to add a link to your site).

Articles are another excellent way of bringing traffic to you site as well as establishing links to your site. There are many sites on the internet that you can send your article to, most of which do not require a link back which is always an added bonus. This is a great way to talk about your product and once added to your website will add quality content also.

The main thing to remember about Internet marketing is that you only get out what you put in. some of it will take a long time to establish its self but any promotion of your site is of great benefit to you. If you do not have time your self to do this employ someone who will or ask a family member.

Internet marketing is an important part of any online business.

How to Link To Your Website When Writing Articles

Pointing to your website is essential to high rankings in the search engines. However, you must know how to link to your website properly to get the full benefits of linking. If you dont link properly, they could kill your marketing efforts.

Often times, many writers make the same mistakes. They typically try to send someone to their website directly from their article. WithIn the resource box, they provide a raw link with the URL of the website. Below is one of the biggest mistakes that an author can make:

If you enjoy shopping find out how you can get cash back from your online shopping. ShopAyopahonline.com. They typically put their complete URL with "www." here. Big mistake!

Most often, writers will use the same generic resource box in all or their articles, no matter the topic of their writing. Unfortunately, because they use this resource box, the wrong way, they get very few benefits from their writing efforts.

Writers must understand that in order to rank high in the search engines for a keyword phrase, the most important factor that will allow them to achieve their goal is having links from external websites using keyword phrases linking to the writer.

If hundreds of websites say that your site is talking about Shoes, even if the keyword shoes is not on your site, search engines will believe the majority. When a searcher enters shoes, search engines will for sure show your website. This has been proven numerous times, you can try it yourself:

Open Google.com and enter the following query: worst president without the quotes. Have a look at the #1 website (www.whitehouse.gov/president), the text worst president doesnt exist in the page at all!

This tactic is so powerful that if you spent enough efforts into it, you could redirect people looking for Wendys to the Mc Donalds website!

Its VERY EASY to create useful links. Take the example of someone promoting a website about shopping online.

1. The first thing to do, is to use this keyword phrase or some variations of this keyword phrase in the anchor text of your link. If youre not familiar with HTML, it is done like that: This HTML code creates a link like: Anchor Text

2. Then in the resource box, you have to use as many related terms as you can because search engines, especially Google, take the surrounding text into account.

Take a look at the resource box at www.freetrafficbuildingreport for this article, you will see with I mean. There are several links to the website using related keyword phrases. The surrounding text is also using related terms, even if they are not links, they will help the search engines and tell them what your website is talking about. Creating such resource boxes when you submit your articles to article directories will increase ten folds the benefits of your links.

Another important point is to use different resource boxes and different anchor texts each time you submit a new article. Dont waste your writing efforts because of a poor linking strategy! Use this tactic right now and be amazed by the results.

How To Get The Right Keywords

When you are creating a website and you are looking to sell a product or service to a particular niche targeted audience, it is very important that you understand and know how to get the right keywords that will in turn attract the attention of your target audience. This is whats known as the research stage of the process. If you do your research incorrectly, you will unfortunately fail to attract your target audience. So it goes with out saying that knowing how to get the right keywords is a crucial step in developing a profitable business online.

Probably the most important component of search engine optimization is keyword selection. Search engines like Google and Yahoo use keywords and phrases to find web pages and rank them accordingly. The mechanism used to find and rank websites is most commonly called a search engine spider. What these spiders do is crawl the web to find new web pages and updated web pages to add them to their databases. They sort through millions of web pages by following the search engines algorithm.

Lets go back to the idea of how to get the right keywords. Lets say for example you have a product that you own or you are affiliated with a merchant who owns a product. The first thing you need to do is to find out what keywords your prospects would use in order to find the product you are trying to sell and promote? Lets take and example:

If you are selling golf clubs online. What keywords are people using to type into the search engines to find out about golf clubs? To find out what keywords people in the golf niche are using, I loaded up my keyword research tool. Here are some of the results my keyword research tool gave back to me.

1. used golf clubs
2. Callaway golf clubs
3. womens golf clubs
4. left hand golf clubs
5. Nike golf clubs

Now, we can see some actual results here. There are people using the net to find out information about golf clubs such as "nike golf clubs", "Womens golf clubs", "Callaway golf clubs" etc etc... These are the keywords that you could use to attract people to your product and then make a sale. Now remember I told you before that keyword research is the beginning of the research stage. There are many other factors which lead eventually to a sale of the product.

You can use "nike golf clubs" as a keyword phrase to target people on the net interested in buying nike golf clubs. Your webpage could be all about nike golf clubs, which are the best ones?, which are the cheapest ones? and how a visitor to your site can buy nike golf clubs. (Through your affiliate link of course, if you are an affiliate with nike :) )

I hope that this example has show you some insight as to why keywords are very important when targeting surfers to your website. There are other factors to include when selecting keywords like what the competition is like for the keyword you are interested in using. The competition means, how many other webmasters are using the same keyword, or keyword phrase on there website. A method of doing this is to type your keyword into a searh engine like google and use quotation marks around the keyword phrase. When you hit "get search", the search engine will return all the web pages that are using the exact keyword phrase.

You can view the amount of webpages you are in direct contact with by looking at the returned results on the top right hand side of the search engine results page. Please note that the lower the amount of competing pages that the search engine returns the better. There are a couple of other considerations to bare in mind when determining your competition. I will include this type of information for another day in another article! :)

Keyword research can be a long and time consuming process. There is much to consider when sourcing your information on what keywords you are going to use. For many months now, I have used a keyword research tool that has cut the time for researching keywords by about 75 percent! No joke! This tool is incredibly easy to use and it speeds up the process of finding good keywords for my products and websites I promote to make money online. It also has built in features that help you find products and services to sell online with related keywords, which in turn makes things quick and easy to make money.

Natural Linking Strategies and Complex Structures

As we all know link building plays a critical role when it comes to website promotion and optimization. Artificial off-page optimization through reciprocal link exchanges has lost most of its value because most of them are made to spam the search engine results, that's why most of the sites which promoted this linking pattern (link farms) and reciprocal networks have disappeared from the result pages.

Natural linking refers to one-way linking where site A places a vote to site B because of its content and relevance, through this structure site B is not required to place a link back to site A which makes it look more natural to the search engines thus increasing the rank of site B. Creating unique content is often the best way to gain this type of incoming links, however there is a still a similar linking structure which resembles reciprocal exchanges but is not heavily penalized by Google because it looks natural, of course we are talking about A-B-C exchanges.

This particular exchange takes place when site A points to site B and then B doesn't reciprocate the link but instead points to site C. Using this hybrid method each site gets a one way link except A but this can be fixed by setting up a three-way linking pattern with other sites. For most people this is as far as off-page optimization goes but the truth is that the ABC model can be escalated to complex structures which can be represented through geometrical figures for instance the ABC model can be expressed as a triangle, an A-B-C-D structure can be though of as a square, A-B-C-D-E would be a pentagon and so on. In order for these models to work several domains which are relevant to each other must be involved, theoretically this structure can achieve the aspect of an E8 polytope geometrical figure which wouldn't resemble the geometrical pattern of reciprocals that is easily detected through a script using the Floyd-Warshall algorithm.

While these are great structures they must be executed with precaution because even though they all seem natural they can still be detected by Google if you escalate the model within your own sites within the same source IP. Some people devaluate the power of ABC and greater linking schemes by placing the references on pages designed exclusively to be link-dumps which provide little to no use to the visitor. A better approach would be to distribute these references within your pages where the exchange doesn't look like a to artificially manipulate the search results.

At this point some people may think: 'If I place reciprocal and ABC exchanges within my main site pages I will have no space left to show banners and relevant information' this is exactly why you shouldn't entirely focus on one pattern, having a variety of one way and reciprocal arrangements without giving more weight to one structure over the other is what will keep you safe from the search engines raising a red flag on your domains, figuratively speaking of course.

Executing these link structures involves a lot of work but the benefits your domains will get from this work can far exceed those received from reciprocating references.

List Building and Why You Need To Do It!

I'm sure you have heard the saying 'the money is in the list'. This is quite true with Internet Marketing and list building really is a necessity to make a good income online.

So just how do you build a good, targeted list that will take your online business to the next level? Here are some points that may help you in your list building efforts.

1. Sell your offer so that your visitors just can't say 'no' to signing up to your list. You need to make your visitors think that opting in to your list is the best decision that they can make at this point in time.

So if your niche is on dog training then offer a free report on 'Tips for Training Your Dog' or something similar.

2. Whatever it is that you offer your visitors make sure that it is targeted to your niche. You don't want to offer a free report on horse riding if your niche is about dog training. You need to offer your visitors something that they would really value and in return you will get a good list.

3. Once you have subscribers signed up to your list it is important to build a good relationship with them. You can set up your autoresponder to send out a sequence of emails to your customers at intervals set by you.

4. Make sure that your emails are also targeted to the niche that your subscribers subscribed to. If your emails are not related to the niche then your subscribers will not be interested in reading them.

Also make sure that any products that you promote through your emails also relate to the niche otherwise you are just wasting your time and are not likely to make any sales.

SEO Marketing - 3 Proven Methods That All Webmasters Need To Use!

What is SEO marketing? Well, SEO marketing in a nutshell is all about building traffic to your site. There are various ways in which you can market your site on the internet. Of course every webmaster knows that its so important to gain good traffic levels to a website. But the question remains, how can you build and obtain high rankings for your website.

Well, what you need to do is build links and have a good website optimized for the search engines. To market your site on the web, lets take a look below at the most common ways of building back links and perhaps other website SEO techniques that can help your website to obtain the ranking you are looking for within the search engines.

So here below are some link building methods -

1. Internet directory submissions -

Directory submission is a great way to build links to your site. It is the most effective and known method of building a high amount of back links to your website. The submission of your website to search engine friendly directories and related categories within the directories can really increase the rankings of a website over time. If you do this method the free way, it may take a while before your link is approved by the directory. However, it really is a great way to build links to your site.

2 Blog and forum posting -

These two types of ways to build links can be very effective indeed. Posting with informative comments on forums and blogs with a link pointing back to your site will not only gain you a back link, but it will also result in traffic to your site. As long as you have informative and useful comments to make, you will spark interest amongst the people on the forum and you will gain credit for that because people will develop trust due to your input.

3. Article marketing -

This has to be one of the favorites amongst webmasters marketing their sites on the net. You simply write articles ranging from 250 -700 words in length about your niche. At the bottom of your article, include a link that points back to your website. This will help you to drive traffic to your site. You then submit them to article directories like ezinearticles and goarticles. These article directories get a lot of traffic and you stand a very good chance of people in your niche reading your articles.

Following these tips, you should be well able to boast your website pages in the search engines. It important to make sure you are on top of the game and your competitors. I use a piece of software that really helps me with my SEO on my websites.

It saves me a lot of time and money and boasts traffic to my sites. I have had web pages that rank in the top 5 position for very competitive keywords thanks to this software. What to know what it is? Then please visit the link below

Link Building - Wake Up, Get Creative Or Get Left Behind!

Whilst traditional methods of researching and subsequently contacting related websites for both one way and reciprocal links might offer limited success to your link-building efforts, it is a dated process, and one becoming ever more difficult to reap rewards from.

This notion is given further credence by the recent decision by Google-in an attempt to quash manipulations of its ranking algorithm through the sale and bulk buying of links through link brokers and automated submission software- to drop the PageRank (the formula Google used to rank pages) from many of the offending websites, blogs, directories and forums, rendering those links worthless.

Automated submissions and outsourced 'black hat' link building efforts haven't helped matters and the whole 'link building' industry has been tainted with connotations of spam.

It is an inaccurate perception to assume that building links to your website is relative to how much you are prepared to pay. But even with a greater dedication of time to research and contact a range of complimentary websites, forums and blogs you will still be presented with perhaps the most unpredictable character within the link building process -the site owner.

Site owners or web masters and blog authors have noticeably become more closed to sharing their websites, promoting 'for profit' causes and recommending business or websites they have no prior knowledge or experience of. And whilst a review of how and why this has developed would not assist the situation, there are important points to consider:

Search engines ARE getting smarter in how they rank pages and how they detect genuine, paid, reciprocal and three way links and users ARE becoming ever savvier and critical of what they view whilst online.

"So if building high quality links to your website is a problem, then a solution would be to add value to your website."

Adding value that naturally attracts links, generates buzz about your product or service, stimulates conversations amongst the social spheres or perhaps crosses over to the mainstream (offline) press is perhaps a far more interesting proposition, offering the potential of increased brand awareness, traffic and one way links to your website.

Examples include:

- Creating compelling video content

- Writing thought provoking articles

- Engaging with your customers and actually listening to what they have to say

- Regularly updating the company blog

- Interviewing high profile figures on your blog

- Recording a quality podcast or a range of podcasts.

- Developing an online game

- Launching a resources section of your website in order to 'share knowledge'

- Developing expression and consumption widgets for your users to download to their desktops or embed within their blogs and social networking profiles.

- Create new pages of your website welcoming user generated content and reviews of your products and services.

This is just the tip of the iceberg but the power of "adding value" to your website can be seen in all sorts of sectors - from travel to technology and from FMCG's to fashion, but don't just rush in without conducting some form of research. Instead, take a step back from the business, the product and the focus on sales in order to create something your readers, your community, your customers will actually want or welcome. The reward for doing so will come to fruition as users spread your message virally through the social networks, potentially attracting substantial exposure and backlinks.

Exploit Your Article Writing for the Greatest Possible Article Marketing Success

How's Your Article Production?

Are you writing a sufficiently continuous string of articles to market your product, service or business? Does an article roll off of your writing production line each day? How about two or three articles per day on an average? If so, great! If not you might want to consider trying out some new ways to ramp up your article writing output to more useful and acceptable levels to aid in reaching your marketing goals for this year.

Have You Ever Seen an Octopus?

If you've ever seen or tried to handle an octopus, you quickly realized that one of your biggest problems was determining where it was going. Its eight arms reach out in different directions and if you try to block or corral it in one way it instantly seems to proceed in two or more other directions at the same time. So it should be with your article writing and article marketing. You should be continually expanding not only the quantity of your articles, but their quality and format as well. This way you'll be constantly expanding your reach and expanding your brand or online presence.

Let Me Explain

After writing an article, or better yet, a series of articles, do you make sure to post them on several prominent article marketing sites? Don't just post to one article marketing site, post each of your articles to several article marketing sites. Next, how about changing your article's format? Well, you can convert each of your articles or article series into an audio-visual presentation which is then placed on your webpage or article marketing site. Use Microsoft Power Point, Flash or other format to create a presentation your interested readers might enjoy. Add sound, animation and color to the presentation to really "spice it up"and raise its interest value.

Other Useful Formats for Your Marketing Articles

Try reading your marketing article or series of articles out loud and recording them digitally using either a digital recording device or a software program like Audacity, Gold Wave or any of several other freely available ones. Now you've expanded into the audio production area with your article marketing. Burn these onto a CD ROM and you have a digital product to sell or give away. There's absolutely no reason why you couldn't do the same thing using video. Videotape yourself presenting your marketing article content aloud and burn the audio-visual presentation onto a CD ROM or a DVD and you'll have yet another valuable resource to sell or give away to clients and opt-ins. Depending on the topic of the articles you write, a screen-capture presentation might also be quite possible. Another good option is to record or provide a tele-conference based on your articles or series of articles at one of the free or very inexpensive tele-conferencing sites available online.

E-books and Reports Galore

Now don't stop there either. As an accomplished writer, you should most certainly compile your article writing into ten, twenty, fifty or more page e-books and reports which are also quite saleable online either as a package or individually. All this of course, from articles that you've already written and perhaps even already published as well. Don't forget to offer your marketing articles to other topic or theme-related blogs, newsletters and websites online. So consider exploiting your article writing for even greater article writing and article marketing success.

How To Maintain Your Search Engine Rankings Always On Top

If you start a new site from scratch and optimize it starting from onpage optimization up till offpage optimization it will take at least two months to see results.

Obviously there are some exceptions and the reasons are very difficult to identify sometimes. However such factors like the number of competition for your keywords and the type and quantity of links you get all effect how fast you get rankings.

Keep in mind that if you do get a ton of links fast and you get high rankings you need to keep getting a ton of links fast or you loose rankings. That is not realistic, so there is no fast way to get rankings. Getting links which are the core of optimization slowly and steadily will allow your site to rank and keep it rankings if you keep getting links slowly and steadily even after your site is ranked on top.

If you stop getting links, your rankings won't remain always on top. However does not mean you have to keep doing all the work. You may outsource and another advantage is that with your site ranked on top many webmasters will automatically contact you for a link exchange. Apart from that fact, you just have to get some links regularly to maintain your position. You need more links to get rankings than to maintain your site at top.

Older sites are more appreciated by search engines, so as your site gets old you have an advantage as well. The initial steps to get rankings can be classified as a bit tough but the rest becomes much easier.

This is what you need to do once you start getting high rankings:

1) Check that your link partners are still linking back to your website.

2) Add new articles once in a while, although the more you add the better as long as they are articles you create not copied.

3) Add nofollow tags on certain links like terms of conditions, earning disclaimers and privacy policies. There is no need for these pages to rank high in search engines. By putting nofollow tag, search engine spiders ignore them and they do not give them pr, instead they give the pr to your other important pages. If you have a high pagerank website do that and you may see an increase in pr to your other pages.

4) Monitor your search engine rankings for your keywords. If a particular keyword looses ranks work on that keyword. It means get backlinks so it regains position. Use the keyword in the anchor text of each backlink but always change it a bit now and then. Changing a bit means add a word or two different with the keyword. For example if the keyword is blue cars use variations like:

blue cars available
tons of blue cars
blue cars for sale
very fast blue cards

You got the point.

This shows that you can achieve high rankings and it also shows one other important thing to take note of. Choose low competing keywords at first. If you have a new site it is very hard to compete for high competing keywords. Once you gain rankings and pagerank start working on other keywords.

Search engine optimization provides you with monthly free targeted traffic. After initial few months you start getting traffic and then lots of it. People using Google are more likely to buy than those using other search engines so monitor your rankings on Google and aim for the top rankings.

Google is the number one search engine, buyers prefer it simple because it gives the most accurate results.

Article Marketing Is The Bridge Between You and Your Customers

With information technology on the rise and gaining relevance in the world today, article marketing has become a significant tool to promote businesses on the Internet. While it is well-known that articles make consumers understand a product better, a well-written article can be one of the main reasons why any product sells. These days, article marketing is so advanced that it has become the foremost advertising strategy for many online businesses.

Central to the effectiveness of article marketing is the implementation of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The primary function of this form of article writing is to achieve prominent rankings on the search engines by utilizing keywords which are popular among Internet users. When a user enters a search term which is identical to your keyword, the web page of your article will be displayed as a search result. With effective SEO strategies, you can rank among the top search results and benefit from a steady flow of incoming traffic, which will ultimately lead to increased sales.

Due to the fact that SEO article writing involves a great deal of research and expertise, most website owners prefer to employ SEO experts to manage their web content. These specialized professionals will provide you keyword-rich articles that will dramatically improve the visibility of your website and win customers over with their convincing content. SEO article marketing is such a proven success in the world of online business that many website owners are willing to hire the services of top SEO experts to help them launch their businesses into greater heights of profitability.

Other than its overall contribution to the betterment of sales, article marketing also brings professionalism and prestige to your website. With comprehensive articles that offer expert information about your products, your website will be widely regarded as an authoritative entity. It will assume a position as the favored destination for consumers seeking specialized knowledge pertaining to your products. As your reputation grows, your brand will be established as a trusted name in the business and this will in turn translate to a long-term influx of web traffic.

Compared to other forms of online advertisements which incur quite a substantial amount of financial investment, article marketing is basically free advertising. Since your articles are included in the information base of search engines, they will automatically show up whenever a search term coincides with one or few of their keywords. In a way, an article is a living advertisement implemented on the Internet and it grows in recognition from time to time, without you having to pay extra for each and every appearance. Web owners who understand the full potential of article marketing will also post their articles in directories and ezines to boost their chances of drawing more visitors to their websites.

As the Internet continues to extend its influence into our livelihoods, article marketing will prevail as the most important means to distribute information, whether for a product or a mere matter of general interest. There is no website that can communicate effectively without web content, and articles are indeed the most significant bridge between webmasters and users. By adopting an elaborate article marketing strategy, you can be sure that your business will achieve new heights of success.
